"Mark played at our party in Wiltshire on August bank holiday Sunday afternoon. He was an absolute success. He arrived, he tuned up and he got on with it in an easy going and charming way. Everyone danced, everyone sang and EVERYONE shouted for more. I'd have no problem recommending Mark highly he really did make the party special. We would have him again anytime."

"Lilac, Remko and all of the band are simply brilliant!! Wholeheartedly recommended! We hired Funk With Us to play at our wedding party. From the very first enquiry Lilac was super friendly, very considerate of what we wanted, flexible and always there to answer our questions and offer good suggestions on the song lists, set-up, etc. And the performance on the night was amazing!! High quality sound and musicianship, but more importantly the whole band did a fantastic job in creating a fun party vibe which got everyone dancing for hours. "Hi Fiddlestix, Thanks again for the wonderful ceilidh you and your band put on for us last Saturday. I have written a review for you to use below. Warm regards Julie Fiddlestix played a mix of English, Irish and Scottish music at our wedding breakfast in December. Both the musicians and the caller were excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the ceilidh. Many of our guests took to the floor, some of whom had never participated in a dance before. When numbers dwindled at the end of the evening, the band switched to performing Elvis Presley songs which got some of our remaining guests up and dancing. People have told us how much they enjoyed the music. Thank you, Fiddlestix, for providing us with such fun. Julie"

I honestly would not have believed that the majority of people dancing were new to ceilidh dancing from watching them, they all took to it really fast. "We absolutely loved having Black Velvet Band play our wedding ceilidh at Clearwell Castle. My husband is from Scotland so we wanted a traditional Scottish ceilidh feel with some of the classics, and we were not disappointed! We had a good feeling about Black Velvet band from the moment we booked them - and sure enough, Mike and the guys were absolutely fantastic and made our evening party a huge success. The band were great and the instructions on the ceilidh dances were so helpful; even those of our party who may not have normally danced were up there loving life on the dancefloor. The fun and friendly atmosphere they created was just fab and so different from your ‘usual’ evening do. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceilidh and some said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would 100% book the band again and recommend them to friends.
