"This is the second time we've used Cover It Up. First was at a wedding and second was at my husbands birthday party in our garden. Both times, we've been amazed at how these guys get to know the crowd and work with them to make sure everyone is having a great time. All I've had after the party is...."the band were amazing!" Apart from the brilliant song choices, the highlight for us was when one of the band made a boys dream come true by letting him play guitar with them on stage. A moment he and his family will never forget. Rich and his band were polite, punctual and answered every possible question we needed to know to make our day go off so smoothly. We will definitely use them again and so will our friends in the future. Thank you so much for an epic day."

Ideal for:
Pop bands are ideal for all sorts of events. Their large repertoire means that they have a pretty universal appeal and will have lots of songs to suit all age groups. Whether it's a wedding, product launch, birthday party or any other event, you're bound to be able to find a suitable local pop band near you.
When booking Pop Bands:
Due to the variety of pop bands out there, it's important to check the sample repertoire of your prospective band, in order to make sure they perform the type of music you are into. If you are getting married, many pop bands will be prepared to learn your first dance. However, make sure you get your request over in plenty of time. If you're struggling to think of one, you can always consult with your band - they may well have some excellent suggestions in their repertoire!
Prices for Pop Bands:
Typically, pop bands will come in a 4 piece line up, with a singer/guitarist, lead guitarist or keys player, bass player and drummer. With four musicians, prices will generally start at around £800. Many pop bands will also offer additional members, like percussion players or brass sections, for an additional cost. If you're looking to cut down on travel fees, try using the 'advanced search' feature to find pop bands near you.
About Pop Band's music:
Most pop band's will start their performance with some songs from the 1960's - usually singalong numbers by bands like The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks and The Monkees. Whilst these songs won't make up the whole set, they will usually appear early on, especially at weddings where there may be older guests still present.
As the evening gets later, more recent hits will make an appearance, like Oasis or Blur songs from the 90's and Busted or McFly tunes from the early 2000's. Towards the end of the evening, you're likely to hear a lot of modern pop and rock, from Taylor Swift to Shaun Mendes. Each band will have worked out their own set lists, and what songs work best for each type of event. This means that, as well as standard rock/pop songs, you may also hear a little funk, disco, soul or country mixed in, depending on the band's style.
Different pop bands will perform for different lengths of time, and it's important to find this out in advance. The standard length of time to be on stage is usually two sets of around 45 minutes, but some bands will offer additional acoustic sets or longer set times of around one hour. The Pop Bands featured on this page are all members of the LastMinuteMusicians.com entertainment directory.
