Frequently asked questions

We don’t think there’s a simple answer to who the best wedding singer is. But we do believe in a perfect match for your wedding. So before you start browsing and booking anything, we’d always suggest spending some time with your spouse to be thinking about the mood you want your music to set that day and the music you both love. If you’re looking for an acoustic vocalist to accompany a wedding breakfast, you probably want want the website’s most popular rock voice! But equally if you want a singer to get everyone on the dancefloor at night, you’re going to want a bigger voice and more uptempo tracks. And if you want one wedding singer to cover both of those (speak to them in advance about how long they’ll stay at your wedding with breaks) then a singer with a really diverse repertoire will be beneficial. You can refine your search easily here and listen to performances by prospective wedding singers before making contact. And we hope that all of this makes finding the best wedding singer for you that little bit easier.

Each event is different but the typical performance time for wedding singers is 2 x 45 minutes sets within a 2 hours period. Some acts are happy to play longer sets or additional sets. Often, breaks can be negotiated but you should be aware that the price may increase if the musicians need to be onsite for a longer period of time.

You should always check whether or not your act is prepared to play outdoors. Weather conditions such as wind, rain, or extreme temperatures can affect the performance and the instruments. If you are planning an outdoor event you should be prepared to offer a flat surface for performers as well as a cover in case of unexpected rain.

Booking wedding singers as early as possible increases the chance of securing their availability on your event date, particularly during busy times of the year. However, many acts also accept last minute bookings, and we have successfully arranged performances for clients with just a few hours' notice.

Most wedding singers are self-contained and provide their own sound equipment which is suitable for typical situations. If your event is to be held in a large venue, or you have more than 300 guests, we recommend that additional sound equipment should be used. Always ask your act about their sound system requirements. Some wedding singers have lighting systems, but most usually will charge extra for this or recommend a third party supplier for you to use.

The cost of hiring musicians can vary significantly depending on the type of act. The average price is currently £372. Budget-level acts may be available for as low as £35, while top-tier acts can command prices as high as £2440.

We know that wedding planning can be stressful, so we're here to make it easier for you.

Solo wedding singers offer a professional, affordable, and flexible solution for providing live music on your special day.

They range from acoustic singers to those who play an instrument as well. And there are singers in all genres. So whether it’s acoustic folk for the ceremony or big get-up-and-dance tunes for the late night party, you’ll find the singer here.

If you have space or noise constraints, a wedding singer is a practical solution that still provides the magic of live performance.

They usually have a smaller PA set up so are ideal in smaller venues. Plus, if you're working on a budget, solo singers can be a more affordable option than hiring a full band!

Here's a top tip: Always pay attention to the specific repertoire of your wedding singer, to make sure they perform the sort of music you want to have at your wedding. And be sure to provide any first dance or special song requests well in advance to give them time to prepare.

We hope you find the best singer for your wedding day. Happy planning!
