All I require is access to one power socket, adequate space to perform & accessible parking.
Yes, I am completely self contained. I bring my own PA system to all of my gigs.
Directions to a possible loading bay/car park, if it’s not easily accessible as this’ll make the job easier to unload equipment.
I can happily provide a Spotify service between my sets.
I’ve been fortunate to have played at some prestigious events & venues all over the UK, such as the O2 Islingtons, Fiddlers Elbow Camden, amongst many and including playing overseas, but for me it was incredible to be invited, flown over to Mumbai in India to perform at a wedding for a long standing supporter of my own music. I was also asked to play “Searching For You” (an original song of mine) as they walked down the aisle. A real “pinch me” moment!
I’ve been influenced by many people over the years but some standouts are the likes of Elvis, Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, James Arthur (the list goes on!). These artists for me in particular each have/had possess/ed a real uniqueness to them which made them stars in their own right. I could relate to their music which is something huge for me. Right the way through to production I feel a real connection to the music, the beat the rhythm etc.
The honest answer is I have no favourite type of gig, because no two events are similar. I love a good wedding but I also love being able to express my own music for festivals, venues, tours etc. I just love being able to entertain people, even if it’s not always through my own music I produce.
Set up time takes around 30/45 minutes depending on the venue and space. This is with a full 2 speaker PA system for up to 200 people or I can use a smaller 1 amplifier set up which is usually better suited for restaurants. I will always arrive with plenty of time before the event.
Most common set would be 2x 45/60 minute sets. The longest I will perform for would be 3x 1 hour sets. I take short breaks in-between my sets, although can play for 90 minutes continuously if requested.
I am happy to play outside. Just as long as I have adequate cover incase of rain, or if it’s too hot. Also a flat enough surface & a power supply close by to the performance erea.
The client always has a say, should they wish to have one. I always offer the opportunity to collaborate with the client. Often enough I’ve been well trusted to set the tone & create unforgettable experiences!
