Solo: Electric Guitar and backing tracks: £490 |
I am a singer/guitarist. I work all over the country with my function/party band, and also I do solo work all over the South East and beyond, playing live electric guitar with vocals over backing tracks.
I have worked with tons of people including Take That, Tom Jones and Billy Ray Cyrus, played at the biggest venues in the country (Wembley Arena, NEC Birmingham, Sheffield Arena, Brixton Academy etc) and have done a couple of West End shows including Elvis The Musical (as a guitar player ...not as Elvis!)
I have worked solo in many pub venues all over the place plus many functions and parties, playing anything from background jazz (Satin Doll¹, Georgia etc) to classic soul and pop (Superstition, Brown Sugar etc) to more current material (Amy Winehouse,The Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon)
I normally do 3 x 50 minutes sets of music during an evening. Depending on the evening, it can be purely background - say, early in the evening or a sunday afternoon or for a bigger party, it can be more interactive¹ (ie louder and funkier!).
On a function such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday, I provide background music in between sets on an iPod playlist, to keep the atmosphere going - classic motown, indie-dance, R&B, whatever is suitable - so no need for a DJ. I keep the party going until the last minute....in fact its very hard to get me off if its going well!!
I bring all my own gear - p.a. system, amplifiers, guitars, backing tracks etc - and it doesn¹t have to be too loud...just loud enough!'
Mark also plays a selection of traditional Irish tunes - see the repertoire list for some examples.

For a 4 piece band we could do with 4 metres x 3 metres; for a 3 piece - 3 metres x 3 metres;2 x 13 amp sockets are fine, 4 are even better!
Yes, we bring everything - sound, lights, DJ sets. We just need the space to set up in.
It's helpful to know how much space there is. Plus if there is a sound limiter!
Yes we do! We have many Spotify playlists to suit all occasions - weddings, birthdays, corporate events. Or we can play your device though our sound system.
We have played live on major tours at the biggest venues across the globe and worked on all manner of TV shows and studio sessions. And we're very good at it...even if we say so ourselves!
David Bowie...isn't everyone? Greatest song? Too many to mention....:)
We're all experienced professional musicians with many years of playing together - across the UK AND Europe.
We love what we do and put all our effort into every event. We treat each gig as if we were playing the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury!
Set up and sound check 1 - 1.5 hours
Performance times : 2 hours live music separated as you would like e.g
2 x 1 hour sets or 3 x 40 minute sets, usually slightly longer. It's hard to get us off when we're all having a good time!
Plus all DJ sets between live sets
Yes, no problem. We would need cover though for both types of weather - rain or shine!
We always liase with clients about special requests, first dance etc. If it's not in our set, we're happy to learn it. Usually we work together with the clients, choosing favourites combined with our experience of 'reading the room'!
Here's a few examples:
"...played a wide range of well know songs to keep everybody happy with everybody shouting for MORE!!!! at the end of the night.";
"An absolutely fantastic band people dancing inside outside and even in the bar I would highly recommend this band to anyone everybody loved them great music from great musicians.";
"Mark did a solo acoustic set at the beginning, which was the perfect backdrop to people arriving and chatting. Then he and the band played 2 brilliant sets, getting everyone on the dancefloor."
Many many brides and grooms, birthday boys and girls and corporate events too numerous to mention
Most of the Park Lane hotels - the Grosvenor, The Dorchester, the Hilton. Plus the Ritz.
Also many stately homes - eg Walton Castle - Bristol, Rowton Castle - Shrewsbury
Many golf clubs eg Basset Downs Swindon
