Blackbeard's Tea Party are a group of professional musicians who have been performing as a ceilidh band for over 14 years. In this time, they have developed a strong reputation and are now one of the most in-demand bands on the UK folk festival circuit.
The 5-piece play a mix of traditional and self-penned tunes which are given a heavy rock edge with playful arrangements and driving dance rhythms. This is all mixed up in an engaging, high-octane stage show that frequently leaves audiences cheering for more.
Ceilidhs are an excellent way to get guests up on the floor and dancing together. They help enhance an event and provide a memorable focal point with an uplifting atmosphere. The band’s charming and charismatic caller will explain all the dances, so no prior experience is necessary. All ages can get in involved!
Ceilidh times can be flexible to fit around your needs. A typical evening could include 2 x hour ceilidh sets or variations thereof until 11pm. PA is available to hire once the ceilidh is concluded for an additional fee. Please enquire for details.
