"Thank you all very much for coming to play at The Royal Thames last evening – the music was excellent – as was the address and grace – thank you Stuart for helping us out on that too!  And Jill you were amazing to keep control of such an unruly bunch – the older ones as well as the young – and stop it descending into chaos!!  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it made a very happy evening with families and age groups.  I think certain people may find it difficult to get up for work this morning!"

"Just a short email to say many thanks for the music and dancing on Saturday at Childerley. I hope you could tell we all had a great time - were we any less competent than most people at the dancing?? As far as I know, only one person fell over, and we have to blame too much champagne for that. The whole event went fantastically well, and your part in it was much appreciated. Should the opportunity arise, we will book your group again, and recommend you if we know of anyone else having a “do” in your area. A lot of fun was had by both dancers and spectators. "

"Absolutely amazing! I hired Still Reeling for my sister's hen party and I couldn't have wished for a better night! Myself, my sister and all the guests were very impressed and had the best time. The band themselves are very talented and the caller was very patient with us! They read the room perfectly and timed the breaks well. The dances chosen were perfect and very inclusive to the ones who had never experienced Ceilidh dancing before. Couldn't have asked for better communication when booking the band too! Would highly recommend Still Reeling to anyone and can't thank them enough for our experience with them! :)"

They got the crowd going and kept them under ‘control’ with a brilliant blend of instructions and banter even as we inevitably got a little rowdier towards the end. "Paul was recommended to us by a former colleague. He provided a strong three-piece band to lead a ceilidh at our wedding reception. For an intergenerational group of mixed-ability dancers (including some with no ability) he was encouraging, clear in his verbal instructions, and the band uplifting and rhythmic. Just about everybody participated in the dancing at some point or another in the evening, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Communication with Paul at all stages was straightforward and easy, and I would heartily recommend him and his ensemble should anybody be considering commissioning a ceilidh!"

At very short notice you provided me with a bespoke programme of traditional Irish melodies played before the service. And you even learned a rare Irish tune to play at the end of the service that my aunt loved. All our family and friends in the congregation were so moved. "I booked The Haystacks Band for my 50th Birthday Party as I wanted live music that would get everyone dancing! Rachel and her band did not disappoint and we had an amazing evening; I cannot recommend them highly enough! They helped create a great atmosphere and were genuinely lovely people to have at the party. I had taken a bit of a risk in booking the band without seeing them perform but I needn't have worried! From the first contact I had with Rachel, through to evening itself, I had every confidence that they were going to be as good as I'd hoped. The Haystacks Band play fun, upbeat music with passion and an unassuming enthusiasm. Everyone at my party has been telling me how much they enjoyed the band and they definitely made it a 50th to remember. Lovely people and fab musicians who were a fabulous find online!"
