"Dear Patrick Words cannot express how wonderful you were, at the celebration we had for my mum's passing, at Greenwoods recently. So many relatives asked whether you actually knew mum, as you had made it so personal, they were, as you could probably tell, really enjoying themselves! "This is the second year running we have used the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band for our St Patrick''s party, and they were a huge hit again. We had our biggest turnout for an event, making it a very successful fundraiser. A big part of this was people wanting to join in with the Ceilidh fun again, having experienced the band last year. The music and calling were excellent, and the dances were great fun. It was great to try some new dances too. Our guests were already talking about next year as they left!"

"Thank you Blue Jewel for making the night so memorable! Everything we hoped and more. We hired a barn in the middle of nowhere for our wedding anniversary, and Blue Jewel came and made the night something special to remember. The band were so easy going and they sounded brilliant live. The caller made it so easy to follow we had 8 year old children dancing with grans and granddads. My aunt said afterwards 'it's impossible NOT to have a smile on your face as you to this!'. I can't put it any better than that. Everyone had a great time. I would 100% recommend, we hope to see you chaps again in the future at our next gig! x"

"Lucy and Jack were amazing at our wedding. Everything we could have hoped for. They were great at learning my song requests for the whole day. Very reasonably priced for the incredible service they provide. Intimate and happy atmosphere created by their beautiful voices and musical talents! Completely perfected the musical genres we wanted of modern country and pop, with couple of older songs too. For any brides out there I highly recommend Lucy and Jack, and to have live singer whilst walking down the aisle, it was one of the most memorable parts of my day. "

"Mike and Jon pitched the performance perfectly for the Fleur de Lis Retirement Home’s garden party in Romsey. The American Country songs created just the right atmosphere to establish the Wild West theme. Everyone loved it – they joined in all the songs! Several residents have sent me messages to say how much they enjoyed the event. We were delighted with the performance and thoroughly recommend the band."

"What a fantastic band! Blue Jewel played at Paul's 50th birthday party in February 2016 and were a complete hit. Thank you so much! The booking process was really easy with Steve answering all the questions we had before the evening. The dances were varied and all great fun. All four members of the band were a pleasure to have with us. There was so much laughter! If we book a ceilidh again (and I think given the success of this we will) we will certainly ask Blue Jewel to play."

"They were absolutely brilliant. They really got everyone up on the dance floor and led the sets so that all the guests could really enjoy the dancing. We had a lot over from Canada and they still haven’t stopped telling us how much they enjoyed it. The Scots amongst us also appreciated how good they were and how hard they worked to ensure it was great fun. They helped make the wedding a very special and unforgettable day for Joseph and Amanda. "We hired Charlotte for my Mum's 80th birthday party barn dance in Worthing on Saturday. It was a great evening with live music from Charlotte and Richard (fiddle, banjo, accordion). Not everybody got up to dance but you'll always get that. For those that did we had a very entertaining evening with lots of laughter and my Mum loved it."

"We had a great time ably assisted by the music and calling of the Black Velvet Ceilidh Band. Thank you so much! The band were very adaptable, as we changed the arrangement for the sets on the night, and reassured that they were there to entertain - which they certainly did. They got people up dancing from the first note to the last and many, many guests have commented how much they enjoyed the ceilidh."
