"My Husband and I wanted a fun and lively reception for our wedding that everybody could join in. "Still Reeling" played a fantastic two hour ceilidh for us and our guests. All the dances were great fun and even the most reluctant of our guests felt encouraged to join in! The band also kindly provided a microphone for our speeches which was a great help. Thank you very much to the band for giving us such a memorable wedding reception."

"The Craigi Ceilidh band were excellent. Perfect for my 60th birthday party with all levels of experience and agility catered for. The caller and band made the whole event run smoothly and all the guests commented on how much they enjoyed the evening. Booking the band proved to be a very straightforward exercise with good communication before the event from both the band and Last Minute Musicians."

"BM Ceilidh were excellent! They pitched it right for our inexperienced group, getting among us to ensure we were right and keeping steps fairly straight forward. Additionally, they were very good at trying to keep us on track with timings when we stopped for food as well as playing while we talked and recovered between dances"

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 08/04/2023 / Ceilidh for Eastercon 2023 (Sci Fi enthusiast's convention) We had a fun-filled, joyous ceilidh, thanks to the amazing, talented Black Velvet Band.The band members are great fun. Alan had us laughing so much with his warmth and humour when calling the dances. The booking process was straightforward and professional. When I talked on the phone to Mike in advance, I was assured that these guys knew their stuff. When I requested non-gendered calling, that was no problem. The band are very versatile - they added a little Star Trek and Dr Who music, seamlessly, into the ceilidh tunes, to give us an extra-special thrill! "Black Velvet Ceilidh Trio performed at a surprise party for my wife’s 60th Birthday recently. It was intended to be a function at which people could be fully involved and Boy! Did they do just that! I honestly cannot remember such a function where all of the guests were agreed it was an evening to remember that was also such fun. The whole success of the celebration came from the bands active participation and willingness to do everything possible to make the evening into a night to remember. That, they surely did. Thank you Black Velvet Ceilidh Band. You and the band made my wife very, very happy. She will not forget and neither will I. You are indeed very special musicians and very special people.
