We are a well established barn-dance / ceilidh band who have been playing in central Southern England for more than twenty years.
We are a four piece - fiddle; accordian; guitar; bass. For barn dances our bass player will handle the calling unless you wish to engage your own caller.
As well as playing at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Burns' and St Patrick's nights and other social events, we have been the resident Irish band for the week of the 'Glorious Goodwood' horse racing festival at the end of July since 2003.
We will play anywhere in the Hampshire, West Sussex, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey, Berkshire area. We may charge extra for travel to events further than 50 miles from Portsmouth.
Our facebook page has a number of short videos of our events which will give you an idea of what we have done over recent years.

We require free parking for three vehicles and easy access to the venue for unloading / loading our equipment.
There must be a safe, stable and earthed domestic 13 amp electrical supply near to the performance area.
We need access to the venue around 90 minutes before we start playing in order to set up and soundcheck, and up to an hour after we finish to pack up.
For outside events we must be under weatherproof cover , rain or shine.
Our performance space should be a minimum of 3m (wide) by 2m (deep).
We bring our own PA system and instruments
We need the full address of the venue and any other information which would help us to find it. There will need to be free of charge (or paid for) parking for three cars close enough for us to unload and load our equipment.
We can play our own background recorded music before we start , during breaks, and after while we pack away.
We have played at the Qatar Goodwood Festival every year since 2003 and have many regular punters who look out for us during the event.
We live near Portsmouth and have played loads of times in Portsmouth Dockyard: on HMS Warrior, HMS Ark Royal and HMS Prince of Wales as well as at the huge Navy Days event marking the 200th anniversary of Trafalgar in 2005. We had the interesting experience of playing for a barn dance held in the great cabin on HMS Victory !
We were also regulars at the Festival of Christmas events held annually in the dockyard up to December 2019.
We have performed in hundreds of Village Halls in the South and we love them all and we are still finding new ones to play in - we love them all.
We need around 90 minutes to set up and test the sound before we start, and an hour or so to pack up at the end.
We will typically play two sets of around 75 minutes each, with a break of 30 minutes between sets. The evening is typically 7:30pm to 10:30pm.
For outside events we need to be completely sheltered from the weather, rain or shine. We must have a firm, dry, flat surface to play on and the electricity supply must be safe and earthed.
Previous customers universally appreciate what we bring to their event - full instruction on each dance, and a fun and enjoyable experience which brings people together.
