Jean produced many tears of joy when the ceremony began with the choice of music and the transition of the harp from the ceremony room to the reception room was so well done that nobody noticed! "Lilac, Remko and all of the band are simply brilliant!! Wholeheartedly recommended! We hired Funk With Us to play at our wedding party. From the very first enquiry Lilac was super friendly, very considerate of what we wanted, flexible and always there to answer our questions and offer good suggestions on the song lists, set-up, etc. And the performance on the night was amazing!! High quality sound and musicianship, but more importantly the whole band did a fantastic job in creating a fun party vibe which got everyone dancing for hours. All of our guests commented for days afterwards how great they were! Thank you Funk With Us, you guys rock!!! ?"

"Thanks very much for your fantastic set at Marlin's Wynd - we were so glad we picked It's No Reel. The band managed to liven up traditional ceilidh songs, and the caller was excellent at keeping everybody on the dance floor and in high spirits. Our guests definitely all agreed too- we had a lot of positive comments about the band after the event. Tom was also very easy to deal with, responding very quickly to emails."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Viv’s 50th Birthday Ceilidh – January 2025 We had an amazing evening. Dan, Ned and Heather were brilliant. Firstly Dan was incredibly helpful and reassuring when I spoke to him a few weeks in advance. He was very relaxed but also incredibly reassuring that it would be fun and go well! He was very warm and I felt ‘everything would be alright’! They came very promptly and set up very unobtrusively. The music was perfect and Ned was a fantastic caller. He drew people in so well and had a very relaxed manner, he made it very enjoyable. Dan on the guitar and Heather on the fiddle were excellent! We had a fantastic evening of dancing with them. So many of our guests commented on how they made it such fun. They made it a great success. I highly recommend them."

"We recently asked It's No' Reel Ceilidh Band to play at our daughter's wedding. The band arrived on time and set up without any fuss. In fact we were hardly aware of their presence until they started to play. There were a number of English guests and Tom kindly went through the steps of the dances at the start. This was really helpful and encouraged everyone on to the floor. The music was great and played so well. We could not have asked for a better band. A big thanks to all that played for us you made our very special day really great."

"We had such good feedback about your performance! Everyone that came had a great time and that's definitely down to the superb music and also the very well-explained and inclusive calling. I honestly would not have believed that the majority of people dancing were new to ceilidh dancing from watching them, they all took to it really fast. We'd love it if you'd like to play again as the band was definitely the key to the success of the night."
