It's tough to pick just one "best gig" as we've had so many incredible experiences connecting with amazing crowds over the years! Each event has its own unique energy and special moments. However, some gigs that stand out include performing at weddings where the dance floor is packed all night, and the energy is electric. There's something truly special about being part of someone's big day and contributing to the joyous atmosphere. As for the best venue, again, it's hard to choose, but we've been fortunate to play at some stunning locations, from beautiful outdoor settings with breathtaking views to historic buildings with incredible acoustics. Each venue brings its own charm and creates a memorable backdrop for our music.

As a band, we draw inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran, and classic rock legends like The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Ed Sheeran's songwriting talent and ability to connect with audiences on such a deep level. Choosing the "greatest song of all time" is an impossible task, as music is so subjective, and there are countless amazing songs out there. However, some personal favorites that always resonate with me include "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, and "Imagine" by John Lennon.

We've been playing together as Magnolia Sky since 2014, but our individual musical journeys started long before that. We all have backgrounds in music education and performance, having studied at institutions like the British Institute of Modern Music and Trinity College of Music. Our passion for music was nurtured from a young age by our families, and we've been involved in various musical projects throughout our lives. We started gigging by playing at local pubs and events, gradually building our reputation and expanding our reach to include weddings, corporate events, and festivals.

While we enjoy all sorts of events, weddings hold a special place in our hearts. The atmosphere is always charged with love and excitement, and it's incredibly rewarding to be a part of such a significant milestone in people's lives. We love seeing guests of all ages come together to celebrate and dance the night away to our music. Of course, we also love the energy of a great festival crowd or the intimacy of a private party. Ultimately, any event where we can connect with our audience and create a memorable experience is a favorite.

We'll be on site for a full 7 hours, from 5pm to midnight, ensuring your event has a fantastic soundtrack from start to finish. Ideally, we require 90 minutes for setup and soundcheck, allowing us to create the perfect atmosphere for your guests.

However, we pride ourselves on being flexible and accommodating. If you have any time constraints, we can be ready to go within an hour if a sound engineer is booked as an add on.

Our performance includes two energetic 60-minute live sets usually from around 8pm, guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor. In between sets, we'll keep the party vibe going with carefully curated background music, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Yes as long as the weather is suitable or if there is a back up option or cover for the band and the equipment.

The clients can make suggestions for songs from our repertoire, and we always offer a one 'off the menu' request that the band can learn, either as a first dance or to go in the band set.
