We bring our own professional PA system and lighting equipment to every show.

We'll need clear directions to the venue, including any specific instructions for loading in our equipment.

We're happy to play music from Spotify between our sets. We can either tailor the playlist to your preferences or play a selection of our own. Other DJ Options available.

It's hard to pick just one, but some of our favorite gigs have been those where we've really connected with the audience and created a truly unforgettable atmosphere. We thrive on those moments where everyone is singing and dancing along with us.

As for venues, we've been fortunate enough to play at some amazing places, including O2 stages around the UK, Guildhall, O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, and Bush Hall. Each venue has its own unique charm, but ultimately, the best venue is wherever we can create the most magical experience for our clients and their guests.

Our influences are really diverse! We all have our own individual favorites, but collectively we draw inspiration from a wide range of artists, including pop, funk, and soul legends like Gloria Gaynor, Ed Sheeran, and Stevie Wonder.

Picking a single favorite artist or greatest song of all time is impossible. There's just so much amazing music out there! It really depends on our mood and what kind of vibe we're going for.

We all studied music at renowned institutions like the British Institute for Modern Music and Leeds University.

We started gigging individually, gaining experience through various projects and performances, including supporting major artists like Emeli Sande and Fish (of Marillion), playing festivals like Edinburgh Fringe and Notting Hill Carnival, and even entertaining at a 5-star hotel in Bahrain! Velvet Diamond came together in 2015, and we've been bringing the party to weddings and events ever since.

Honestly, we love them all! Every event has its own unique energy and atmosphere. We find joy in creating special memories for people, whether it's a wedding, a corporate event, or a private party.

The most rewarding part is seeing our clients and their guests having the time of their lives. That's what makes it all worthwhile.

Set up time: We like to arrive 2 hours before we need to be set up by. We don't mind arriving early within reason. We also don't want to disturb your guests so we try to be as flexible as possible. We can get setup and sound checked within 1 hour if necessary. For gigs within Greater London it's a 1am finish and for gigs outside of Greater London it's a midnight finish. We can stay on site later than 1am and midnight respectively at an additional fee.

Yes as long as the weather is suitable or if there is a back up option or cover for the band and the equipment.

The clients can make suggestions for songs from our repertoire, and we always offer one off the menu request that the band can learn, either as a first dance or to go in the band set.

Najwa and the band were not only incredibly talented but they also went out of their way to bring a party vibe to our 1920s wedding, making sure all our guests were having a fantastic time!
