We come fully equipped with our own professional PA system and lighting rig, ready to transform any venue into a concert experience.

Please provide directions to the venue, including specific load-in instructions. Also, please let us know if there's a sound limiter.

We're happy to provide music from Spotify before, after, and between sets, either based on your preferences or our own selection.

Each event brings its own unique energy and atmosphere. We've been fortunate to play at some prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and the O2 Academies. However, some of our most memorable gigs have been at smaller, intimate weddings where we've really felt part of the celebration.

Our musical influences are diverse, ranging from classic soul artists like Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder to modern RnB icons like Anderson .Paak. Choosing a single favorite artist is tough, but .Paak's innovative sound and incredible musicianship make him a standout. Picking the "greatest song of all time" is an impossible task, as music is so subjective! There are countless amazing tracks out there.

Urban Knights was formed by Rya, a multi-instrumentalist who grew up immersed in the jazz and garage scene. He started performing as a solo artist in his teens and has played at various venues across London, including the Notting Hill Arts Club and the BBC Introducing stage. The band members have impressive credentials, with experience in major musicals, orchestras, and even Hollywood movie soundtracks. We came together through a shared love of RnB and a desire to create a high-energy, engaging live experience.

We love playing at all sorts of events, from large festivals to intimate private parties. Weddings hold a special place in our hearts, though. There's something truly magical about being part of such a significant day and contributing to the joyous atmosphere.

We'll be on site for a full 7 hours, from 5pm to midnight, ensuring your event has a fantastic soundtrack from start to finish. Ideally, we require 90 minutes for setup and soundcheck, allowing us to create the perfect atmosphere for your guests.

However, we pride ourselves on being flexible and accommodating. If you have any time constraints, we can be ready to go within an hour if a sound engineer is booked as an add on.

Our performance includes two energetic 60-minute live sets usually from around 8pm, guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor. In between sets, we'll keep the party vibe going with carefully curated background music, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Yes as long as the weather is suitable or if there is a back up option or cover for the band and the equipment.

The clients can make suggestions for songs from our repertoire, and we always offer a one 'off the menu' request that the band can learn, either as a first dance or to go in the band set.
