"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the band for some great sets- the music was brilliant! Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves and we certainly managed to get a few bodies into the ceilidh! Really appreciate the ease of the whole process, right from booking to the evening itself. You guys helped to make it a great day for us."

"I just wanted to say a massive thank you for playing at my 21st last weekend. You guys were absolutely incredible. I have had so many of my guests telling me it was the best ceilidh they've ever been to! You made the night what it was so I can't thank you enough! "

"We booked the band for our wedding reception back in October. We are both huge Irish music fans and have had several memorable trips to Ireland so it was especially important to us to have a live Irish band on our big day. We spend a fair amount of time looking for the "perfect Irish band" and were over the moon to have found The Extonions. From the initial enquiry Mac was both friendly and very professional. He instantly made us feel like we had made the right decision and was more than happy to include any special song requests we had. He then made sure they included on the night and that everyone had a great time. All the band members were lovely and friendly chatting to our guests and fitted in perfectly with our relaxed party atmosphere. Many of our guests have commented on how great they were and we would not hesitate in booking them again in the future or recommending them to others. Thanks so much for making our wedding day so memorable."

"Gentlemen... what a fantastic band. We see bands here every week but you guys were miles better than any we've ever seen. I am not working today so have spoken with the manager on duty to leave a comment for you. Perhaps then some of our other clients will choose you for their functions at Achnagairn House. Hope you made it safely back down the road last night. Hope to see you all soon again."

"For 13 years I have coordinated highly successful ceilidh dances in Bishopbriggs High School and now the new Bishopbriggs Academy. These Christmas dances are the culmination of 3 weeks of social dance with all year groups and it it a priority of mine that we have live music to create an upbeat atmosphere. I consider it part of my job to ensure these traditional dances are taught in school in a way pupils will enjoy and will perpetuate. This year I secured the services of The Shooglers for our S5/6 dance. The evening was a fantastic success and enjoyed immensely by pupils and staff alike. The band worked a perfect blend of traditional Scottish dance tunes with contemporary music the pupils are familiar with, which heightened their participation in – and positive attitude to – “social dancing”. I have already asked the band to perform at next year’s S5/6 dance in the school. I know it will be a special occasion. I recommend The Shooglers unreservedly to anyone hosting school dances, weddings or any kind of function. "

"Dear Tom, A wee e-mail to thank you and the band very much indeed for helping to make my retirement do such a success. You gauged the mood of the evening and the company perfectly and have had lots of positive feedback. I hope you had a good trip back to Glasgow and perhaps you could drop an e-mail next time you are playing In the city. We'd very much like to hear the band again - and to sit back and relax while doing so, now that I'm officially a retiree! - and would tie it in with a visit to my son. Thanks again and all the best, John"

"Thank you very much for the recommending The Shooglers Band for the Warrant Officers and Senior Rates Mess Christmas Ball. The evening was a great success and I received several comments on how good the band was, and their ability to get people onto the dance floor and then of course keeping them there. I will certainly recommend them to others and also look to using them for future functions in the Mess. Once again many thanks. "

"Thank you so much for playing at our wedding. You really livened the atmosphere and made the evening really special. I loved the first dance – the Braveheart theme segueing into “The Banshee” - and I’ll never be able to think of the Wild Rover in the same way again!"

"All ages were able to take part" "Wraggle Taggle Ceilidh Band performed at The Walker Ground in Southgate for a Charity Fundraiser and the night was a great success (Saturday 11th March 2023 Southgate Cricket, Hockey & Squash Rackets Club, 175 Waterfall Road, Southgate, London, N14 7JZ) The caller was fab and engaged with the crowd to get everyone up and dancing. People of all ages were able to take part and were delighted with the live music. There was great communication with Mick before, during and after the event itself. We would highly recommend Wraggle Taggle Ceilidh Band and look forward to having them at events at The Walker Ground in future...." "...Hi Mick, I just wanted to email to say thanks for the event here on Saturday night. It was so much fun and I am delighted with how the night went. Hopefully you all enjoyed it too ! "We were so impressed with the band. They were patient with us as we struggled to follow instructions. We had around 30 children. They were adaptable to the situation in front of them. They had everyone up and dancing. Really enjoyed them and yes we'd book them again."

"Thank you all very much for coming to play at The Royal Thames last evening – the music was excellent – as was the address and grace – thank you Stuart for helping us out on that too!  And Jill you were amazing to keep control of such an unruly bunch – the older ones as well as the young – and stop it descending into chaos!!  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it made a very happy evening with families and age groups.  I think certain people may find it difficult to get up for work this morning!"

"Thanks again for yesterday – there was such a lovely atmosphere and the music and calling were great. Someone commented on it being ‘advanced barn dancing’ Smile Lots of people said how marvellous you all were. And also I really appreciated Ray’s (or is it Roy – sorry, forgotten) changes to the words to accommodate the range of dancers and couples and reducing the gender specificity – it felt much more accessible to me and there were also comments from others saying how much they appreciated being able to dance as two people and not be concerned about who was who or ‘dancing as’ etc."

"The band were a great choice for our wedding and had everyone dancing within minutes! They even learnt a couple of special songs for us and performed them brilliantly! They were so good that one of our guests tried to book them on the spot for their own wedding!"
