"After being let down by our usual band, Lilac was kind enough to secure a last-minute band for our 2018 New Year's Eve celebration, which we appreciated wasn't easy. The band was just what we needed. The dance floor was full all evening and bar earnings doubled from the previous year well before midnight. I warmly recommend this high class act."

"What an amazing band! I’ve heard bands which are great at the Scottish ceilidh stuff but not very good at any other styles. I’ve heard bands which are great at pop/rock/country/indie covers but couldn’t play a ceilidh dance to save their lives. You guys are amazing! You can play all the Scottish ceilidh stuff AND make it rocky AND play all these other styles from pop to rock to country to whatever! Amazing! "

"Thank you all so much for playing for our son’s wedding -  we have received so many complements on your playing and Jill’s calling. Even people who did not want to take part in the dancing said that they so enjoyed watching and listening to the music. Basically you wore most people out and they definitely faded when the disco came on, but we soldiered on until midnight! "

"What a wonderful band. They absolutely nailed. Wonderful musicianship, amenable and flexible attitude with my ideas; they simply wanted to do their best to make it as good as they could. They deservedly got great applause from my appreciative guests. The caller, Geoff, also - for a reasonable extra charge - will entertain the kids and/or do some conjuring. His balloons were a huge hit; children running around having fun so the adults could enjoy the eve without being nagged by bored children. Also, during the dancing, Geoff came out with the occasional witty comment about me and the 'do' that were right on the money. I just cannot thank them enough not just for making it a wonderful evening, but wanting to make it a wonderful evening. What can I say? Well, as I started this review: What a wonderful band! "

"Well what can we say! Whiskey & Ginger were absolutely fantastic arrived on time with equipment set up ready for the evening. They sang lots of different songs from old to new keeping the ears of our guests entertained ready for more. was absolutely amazing such a talented band would love to have thwmat another event. The only down side was that the evening seemed to go to fast but as the saying goes time flys when your having fun. Would so love to see them again in the future absolutely fantastic performance what an amazing band."

"We had a great night at our retirement do. The band were brilliant and got everyone involved. I have had so many positive comments from people who attended including - it was the best night out I have ever had!! We were a pretty lively lot but Kip was very patient in explaining the dance when we just didn't get it. I would highly recommend The Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band to anyone who is planning a fun filled evening. Thank you very much indeed. "The whole evening was amazing but was topped off by the Full Beans who were awesome! I have had so many lovely comments from people about how great they thought the band were from their music selection to the lead singer to the great atmosphere they created. I could not have been happier. I would recommend them and your service to anyone. It made everything so stress free particularly with your regular emails leading up to the night itself."

"Blue Jewel were truly amazing! Every guest at our wedding were up and dancing which made our wedding all the more enjoyable for all. Everyone had a great time. The guys were excellent at their craft and kip was a very patient and clear instructor (despite most being useless and a touch tipsy) Can't fault them. If you were to book them for your event, you will have a great time Thank you Kip et al for an excellent evening"
