"Dear Lilac, I just wanted to send a thank you to you and the band for the 2 August performance. Everyone really enjoyed the music and commented on how the country band was excellent. I appreciate your learning the songs I sent over- I think you did a brilliant job. You also did a great mix of music that went really well together, we really enjoyed dancing to it. My husband said he thought you and your band made the weekend, you were his favorite and that is saying a lot considering we had 4 performances that weekend. "The musicians were fantastic (2nd November 2019 Saturday Fletchers Lea, Ware Priory, High Street, Ware, Hertfordshire SG12 9AL). Turned up when they said they would and were very accommodating. Margaret was great at encouraging the reticent and showing how to do the dances. Everyone had great fun and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of a ceilidh. "I recently booked a duo from the band to play at my mum’s wedding in Bolton. They were brilliant. I would recommend this group to anyone who wishes to make their wedding a special event and really liven up the evening. Don’t bother with a DJ, what a waste of money. There were only 40 people at the evening reception, but Shamus and Danny really livened up the group and got them up singing and dancing. I only wish I had another event up and coming, so I could book them again."

"Black Velvet Band Irish Band were excellent and really added to our Irish themed evening. Lots of very traditional music. The guys were very flexible and last minute added in a Ceili set without prior knowledge which was appreciated by all and added to the fun of the evening. Very highly recommended."

"Wow, what a sound you have! We thoroughly enjoyed having you perform at our wedding last week and all our guests had a great time. So much dancing and fun was had by all, and literally everyone commented on what a wonderful choice we made in inviting you as our guest band. Weddings don't always go to plan and in our case a crucial lead broke on our ipad for the party music, and Kellys Heroes came to the rescue and very kindly donated their lead so we could finish off the party. Such talented lovely people so I very much recommend Kellys Heroes and we are looking forward to seeing you perform at another event in the future!!"
