One of Scotland's best ceilidh bands, performing regularly for weddings, birthdays, graduations, corporate events and all other social occasions.
The Pentlands Ceilidh Band are a three piece which comprises of two accordions (one with midi bass for the bass an piano sound) and drums. All dances are called by the band with full instructions provided for all the steps when required. A Fiddle and piano can be added on request, and a separate Dance Caller and Disco can be arranged if required.
Past Ceilidh Band Champions, the band are also regular guests at the Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival, Shetland Uphellya Festival, as well as making appearances at the Orkney Folk Festival, Galway Sessions, Mull Music Festival, Oban Music Festival, Jura Music Festival and Newcastleton Music Festival. The band have also travelled as far as Kuwait to play for the Kuwait Caledonian Society.
The Band are extremely experienced, and have broadcast several times in recent years on BBC Radio Scotland's "Take The Floor" programme on a Saturday evening. Two studio albums have also been released by the band with one of them being voted runner up in the annual National Accordion and Fiddle Club awards in 2010. Tracks from both CD's have also been featured on programmes on several radio stations including BBC Radio Scotland.

This isn't a problem! We provide instructions for all the ceilidh dances, giving full instructions for the steps when required. We walk the guests through the steps 2 or 3 times then play the music for the dance. We can continue to call as the music is playing until everyone knows what they are doing!
We normally arrive approx 1 hour prior to performance. This gives the band time to set up and do a proper soundcheck. We generally play 2 x 60/90 minutes sets with a 30/45 minute break in between however we are flexible with times to suit the client's needs.
Yes, as long as we are under cover!
Yes, the client can request any specific ceilidh dance and also can request any song that they would like played from the disco if they choose our ceilidh/disco package.
