"I literally can’t describe how amazing Gordon was from first enquiry to the event itself. He was so friendly and easy to communicate with about ‘the surprise’ of the sax for my husband's big birthday. The tunes were a great mix and he got the whole party jumping. Even my neighbours were out dancing on their balconies. What an incredible talent and every single person was ‘wowed’. I would highly recommend booking Gordon if you’re looking to add a little something ‘extra’ to your event or party. We will definitely be booking again. Thanks Gordon, what a legend."

"We really enjoyed the day, and it was made more special by having some many friends and family there in the fabulous Randolph Ballroom. A number of our guests were very complimentary about your performance. In a back handed compliment, my father said you kept him awake- that is good! The Maitre D'Hote also said that the hotel were impressed so they asked for your details, so more trips to Oxford in the future."

"If you read only ONE line of this review...BOOK THE VINTAGE VOCALIST FOR YOUR EVENT! From the initial phone contact with Paula to her saying goodbye on the day, our time and experience was 100% positive in every way. My wife and I were able to choose from a huge set list of songs from various musical era's and genre's and Paula seamlessly organised all our favourites into a cracking party playlist for the wedding reception. By the third song, she had guests up dancing and by the second set, my 86 year old Auntie (who walks with two sticks), was throwing her shapes on the dance floor! Paula absolutely made our wedding day! We had guests from the age of 7 to 86 and we can honestly say that each and every one of them loved Paula's performance. Many spoke to her themselves to thank and praise her and many more told us how impressed they were and that they'd be either booking her themselves or would attend venues she'd be performing at in the future! Paula looked stunning in her classy vintage dress and her fabulous voice entertained our party and the local York residents, who sat out on their apartment balconies with a drink to lap up the free entertainment! What makes Paula so special, is that she instantly felt like a friend and a guest, not a singer we'd booked for our wedding entertainment. Her warm, open and down-to-earth personality, instantly puts you at ease and she has a brilliant Yorkshire accent and sense of humour! I loved that as I returned from the bar with a drink to keep her refreshed during her break, I found Paula sat amongst all my family, laughing and joking. We felt happy to see her enjoying the day with us and confident that our entertainment was in good hands. Our 8 year old son was desperate to sing a duet with Paula and we loved how accommodating and kind she was. Some artists would be precious about their professional set being gatecrashed unexpectedly, but Paula embraced the request and handed him his own microphone! Our family really liked and admired her for going with the flow and making the day special for everyone. So if you're considering booking The Vintage Vocalist and need a little persuasion to choose this incredibly talented Yorkshire lass, let me leave you with this... I showed my son the official wedding photo's and laughed at how happy he looked on his photo's with Paula and he turned to me and said... "What you laughing at Mummy?...I was living my BEST LIFE that day!!" I think coming from an 8 year old boy...that says it all."

"Samantha-Jayne made our day complete. She was very accommodating leading up to our special day; she was very helpful with, and always on hand to discuss, our requirements. We first heard Samantha's music online. However, once we'd spoken over the phone, her lovely personality reassured me that she was the right choice and she certainly didn't let us down! All set up and ready to play before our guests turned up at our reception. A saxophonist you can trust! Would definitely hire again for future celebrations and events. From the moment she took to the mic, her stunning vocals had everyone captivated. Rebecca had everyone up and dancing in no time. She has an incredible voice and a natural stage presence that made the whole evening feel like a true celebration. Her renditions of classic hits had us all dancing along and reminiscing, and her energy never wavered throughout the performance.
