| I can provide suitable background or party music in between my sets. I invite all my clients to request songs and styles to suit their event. A “Sax Covers” performance is limited mainly to the repertoire listed below, as I use specific backing tracks which are chosen specially to accompany the sax. “Smooth Sax” and “Party Sax” performances are much more flexible as the backing music is much less specific. All prices quoted relate to the vast majority of bookings in Kent, however bookings on or around bank holidays, or elsewhere in the country/world may be subject to additional fees. |
Dave is a highly experienced jazz and pop Saxophonist, performing regularly both as a solo artist and in several professional bands. As a first-class music degree graduate and professional saxophone teacher, Dave has all the skills to guarantee the very best in live music entertainment.
Dave has been making music since before he can remember and is proficient in many styles, on a number of instruments. Since graduating university, Dave has performed in a range of top-quality bands across the country, including some of London's most prestigious venues. Dave loves playing and this comes across in the enthusiasm and fun factor of his performances!
A saxophone performance is the perfect way to add that extra sparkle to your wedding day, party or any other event. It's unique, classy and fun, and goes a long way towards creating that 'no-expenses-spared' feel without overloading the budget. Saxophone music is ideal for wedding ceremonies and as light entertainment for drinks and dinning, or as the main event of a dance party or wedding reception. Whatever your plans, a saxophone performance is certain to be a real highlight of your day.
Optional Upgrades:
Clients who are interested in a solo saxophone performance (e.g. for a wedding ceremony or as background music) have the option of upgrading to my Acoustic Duo. This saxophone and acoustic guitar duo is entirely live (no backing tracks) and creates a fantastic ambience. We can use amplification wherever necessary.
Clients who are interested in an upbeat party performance are able to upgrade their package to include a professional percussionist (playing bongos and a 9-piece percussion rack!) and/or a DJ (complete with a DJ sound and lighting system).
Performance Styles:
I play a huge variety of music and I offer three main style options. If your package contains more than one set then you can even choose to mix-and-match the different styles! Please check out my videos to see which style(s) would be perfect for your event.
“Sax Covers” Style:
In a “Sax Covers” session, I play a huge range of pop and jazz classics, giving everything a cool, saxy vibe! I perform my “Sax Covers” sessions using professional backing tracks which have the singing removed (similar to karaoke tracks), so the sax can take the lead! You are welcome to make requests from my playlist of 200+ songs, and I can usually learn one or two songs specially, as well!
Recommended for ceremonies, dinner, drinks, restaurants, etc. A “Sax Covers” session doesn’t need to involve a DJ.
“Smooth Sax” Style:
A “Smooth Sax” session is a mix of tropical house and Cafe Del Mar tracks, as well as chill-out remixes of well-known pop tunes, perfect for creating that holiday beach bar vibe!
Recommended for drinks, garden and pool parties, BBQs and any other event that wants a sunshiny vibe! This is also perfect for the opening set at an evening party, whilst the guests are arriving at the venue. I can perform a “Smooth Sax” session with or without a DJ.
“Party Sax” Style:
Looking for an Ibiza style Sax-DJ party? A “Party Sax” session is sure to make your event one to remember! I can perform a huge range of styles including Ibiza, club, dance, kisstory, garage, club classics, R'n'B and more! In fact, I can play more-or-less anything in a “Party Sax” session, so you don’t have to choose from a specific list.
Recommended for hen parties, birthdays, clubs and any event where you’ll want to dance! I can perform a “Party Sax” session by myself for smaller events (bars, small clubs, etc.), but I suggest also booking a DJ to join me for larger events.

I don't use Spotify in a live performance situation, however I can certain provide suitable music before, between and after my sets.
