"Blue Jewel Ceilidh band were absolutely amazing at our wedding, I cannot rate them highly enough. They were so understanding about us running slightly behind schedule. The music was incredible and got everyone dancing. Kip was also a great caller - really easy instructions to follow and very funny. I even asked for a Welsh tune to be played and one band member actually composed one himself and performed it on the day. I'm unbelievably impressed with this band, and if you're thinking about booking, I'd highly recommend."

"Mike and Jon pitched the performance perfectly for the Fleur de Lis Retirement Home’s garden party in Romsey. The American Country songs created just the right atmosphere to establish the Wild West theme. Everyone loved it – they joined in all the songs! Several residents have sent me messages to say how much they enjoyed the event. We were delighted with the performance and thoroughly recommend the band."

"This is the 3rd year we have had the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band play for our event. They really add to the event in terms of the atmosphere, structure and fun they bring. We were sold out of tickets in the lead up to the event as people eagerly anticipated our annual ceilidh. The band are professional and talented. They brought some great dances which we had not seen before and some old favourites. We are already talking about next year's event with them!"

"Very many thanks to FOB. You were awesome! At the Reel club ceilidh last Monday, there was a great band, and enthusiastic dancers, but very few of them, which seemed a poor omen. However, I needn't have worried – what a contrast last night! More than double the numbers, a complete sell out! A great start to the year, with lots of freshers having a fantastic time, dancing to your music. Many thanks from me and the Round."

"Hired The Shooglers for our wedding, a mixture of an idea and blind faith, as the big day approached our anxiety increased we needn't have worried, they were excellent the dance floor was filled all night everyone had a ball,(and the free dance lessons were excellent too guys), this morning we've had texts and phone calls from loads of people all commenting on what a great night it was; brilliant. "Black Velvet Band Hoedown Trio / 7oaks TriClub Hoedown Barn Dance / November 2024 The Black Velvet Hoedown Trio were superb on Saturday 16th November for our annual 7Oaks TriClub dinner dance. We had 50 members turn up at the Chipstead Sailing Club Clubhouse, and I can tell you that as soon as Mike and his band started playing the first set, everyone got up to dance! There were high levels of energy in the room and the Hoedown Trio rose to the occasion spectacularly, matching our enthusiasm and giving us little anecdotes on the history of the dance with instructions as we cooled down and grabbed a different partner. The band were duly fed and watered with a delicious Greek buffet, and by special request they played a Greek dance to thank the chefs. I think Black Velvet were stunned with the energy levels and full dance floor - and there was no slacking from music or dancing. By the end of the second set we were all perspiring in a good way!!!! There have been calls from many members to make this an annual event, so rest assured we will re-book the chaps for a rematch! A fantastic evening had by all. Many thanks to Mike and the band. "
