"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band have been playing at our annual barn dance for the last few years and I can't recommend them highly enough. We are a befriending service providing support and activities for the over 50s to promote social inclusion and independent living. As part of our Active Steps programme which offers weekly dance classes across Plymouth, we organise one-off events including ceilidhs. Blue Jewel always bring out the best in our participants with their great music and friendly, approachable manner - it is the highlight of our year! "

"Bue Jewel Celidh band are one of the best you could find in the Devon area. We had the most uplifting joyous party with family and friends and lots of children, all who danced their hearts out. Even the teenagers joined in and everyone was beaming as they left at the end of the evening. The dance caller Kip was brilliant at making the dances seem really easy and effortless and in no time at all we were stripping the willow and moving as one. Thank you Steve and Blue Jewel for the most enjoyable and happy party we have ever had, you are stars and we will want you back very soon, "

We had a mix of parents with some who had been last year who, rather than arriving with trepidation, had come along knowing that there were in for a good time, plus some who had heard it was a good event and were keen to get involved. "The band played at my daughter’s wedding reception on Saturday and really made the evening go with a swing. All the communication in the run up to the event was good – what music we were looking for, arrangements about set up, timings, etc. Musically, they are an excellent band."
