"Lucy Mayhew was brilliant at today's Smithdown Road Festival, singing at Evil Eye. Some great songs she'd written herself (I liked the powerful, understated "Counterfeit"), as well as some standards, like her encore number the hauntingly beautiful "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Some real talent here. "

You sang a variety of songs, which were mostly known to the audience and I noticed that on every table people were singing along with you, which is obviously a sign of their own appreciation. From a personal perspective as a husband, father, brother-in- law and father-in-law to the people on my own table and a music lover personally, I cannot say enough. The choice of songs, your personal delivery and the volume all interacted beautifully with today's event. I am only sorry, for your sake, that the audience wasn't slightly larger but I got the impression that everybody there had a wonderful afternoon. I do hope that Copthorne Golf Club will enjoy the privilege of you singing for us again in the near future."

"James was amazing to work with. Great before the event asking exactly what we were looking for and then performing throughout the day in some serious heat and playing some great tunes. The participants loved having him there to entertain them while having their lunch and enjoying the sun. I would highly recommend having James perform at your event, wedding or party. He has carried those sad rainy Sundays, through to significant sunny Saturdays and by reading the crowd he has always managed to fill the room with customers, making memories with either family or close friends.
