"My daughter has unfortunately spent the last 6 years bedbound and is currently an inpatient in a rehabilitation unit. She is very musical and is an accomplished pianist and clarinet player, although it has been some years since she was well enough to play. In more recent years it has become an ambition of hers, in fact more of a dream really to watch a harp being played and to have a go on one and eventually to learn how to play. Thanks to Oona’s kindness and willingness to help, her dream has now become a reality! Last month Oona visited her and took along her concert harp. The visit was a surprise and my daughter has talked about nothing else since – she has been so excited! Not only did she get to hear one of her favourite classical pieces but also Oona was kind enough teach her how to play a simple tune. This has provided a huge boost of hope for the future for my daughter in her quest to get well and has already greatly enhanced her quality of life, particularly as Oona has offered to visit regularly. Thank-you once again Oona for your kindness, support and willingness to help fulfil my daughter’s ambition which is already making such a difference to her."
