"Ref Veterans Big Band Concert May 18th last. Hi Ron, We have finally received the last of the monies from our concert sponsors and are now able to draw a line under the finances. Here is the lowdown: The total income from Sponsors, donations, ticket sales, programmes, refreshments and the exit collection was £7547.17. Total Expenses to Printing, Band expenses, Refreshments, Insurance and Hall Hire was £3624.21 That allowed the balance of £3922.96 to be distributed between our four local veterans’ charities these being the RAFA Wings Appeal, the RBL Poppy Appeal, The Royal Naval Charity; and SSAFA This was on behalf of the local Veterans Breakfast Club who are not a registered charity but are part of our group. You will note from the sums of money involved that the concert was a resounding success with a little short of three hundred attending. That was the ninth concert organised by the RAF Association and with the help from the other veteran associations, will undoubtedly go down as the most successful so far. "I have know Mark personally for many years and have only ever known him to put 100% in to every aspect of his music career so when my wife and I started to plan our big day, I knew that his passion and skill would bring something really special and unique to the day.We had The Swing Gents trio perform at our wedding and the guys were fantastic! Really set the mood for the afternoon whilst we were having the photos taken. The set list that Mark put together was perfect and really encompassed the feel of the day.Would highly recommend Mark and The Swing Gents for any event."

"Red Velvet Jazz Quartet were a pleasure to deal with, both over email before our wedding and on the day itself. We gave Amy a list of our favourite songs and she let us know which ones she could do. Amy mixed these songs in with a selection of other songs and checked the overall list with us beforehand. Everyone at the wedding thoroughly enjoyed the performance. We would definitely recommend Red Velvet Jazz Quartet to anyone having a wedding - Amy is a fantastic singer and a lovely person and the band together, were brilliant. Thank you Amy!"

"Would fully recommend Martin. Great singer and real nice guy as well. He made my wife's birthday party very special. Good interactions with the audience but not in an overbearing or embarrassing anyone way. Amazing as well that he travelled the width of the country to entertain us."

"Peter Duncan's band, Green Street Jazz Trio plays a great mix of jazz standards, funk, blues and contemporary numbers with a cool laid back vibe and plenty of great solos. The interaction between the guitar and bass guitar is particularly strong, and their guests add an engaging extra dimension. "
