If the occasion demands, we can also easily draft in an excellent singer (please see new video above, NYE 2024 !) or sax player or both.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

No, we are a live act.

Do you require power?

Yes, we require just one power socket, near to the performance area.
We have two small amps but use a plug board to accommodate them

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

We played at the 'Plough and Harrow', Long Ditton on NYE, 2024. A wonderful time was had by all and we had a very talented/ charismatic female singer join us to really celebrate the ene of 2024.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We are heavily influenced by American musicians, especially Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, Wes Montgomery, John Coltrane and Miles Davis to name but a few. We are also keen on more contemporary artists including Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Bob Marley and many others. Our varied set list reflects this wide spectrum. Greatest song of all time? 'Here, There and Everywhere' by The Fab Four.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We are all seasoned jazz musicians and have collectively played hundreds of gigs between us. We specialise in weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries and corporate functions.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We enjoy all our gigs. Weddings are always a pleasure to perform at since people are always looking forward to a memorable day.

Do you play other music genres?

Yes, indeed we do. Our repertoire is not just jazz standards. We also play reggae, blues, funk and contemporary styles.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally require about thirty minutes to set up....guitar, acoustic bass and drums, to include a soundcheck.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, we're happy to play outside. We may ask to play within a shaded area. We will also need a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We always offer our clients a choice of 2/ 3 personal favourite songs which we can arrange and play . This makes the event even more unique and new songs are a joy to learn since they add to our already wide repertoire.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients have described us as very professional, easy to work with and personable. They also often mention the level of musicianship as being extremely high....which is nice !

Can you arrange your music around our event timings?

Yes, of course. We always like to liase carefully with our clients regarding the timings of our music to coincidence with speeches, meals etc. We are very flexible in this regard.

Do you play loudly?

No, we do not. We can play sympathetic back ground music to suit your event or something a bit more energetic if dancing etc is anticipated.

Are you happy to play and encore

Yes, of course...although if this turns into an additional 4/5 songs we will need to renegotiate. We often have more than one gig per day, so if this happens in the afternoon, we will have to take this into account.
