My prices include an element of travel expenditure. This amounts to 45p per mile. We normally require a 20% deposit to secure the gig, which is non-returnable if the client cancels.

About / Biography

Jazz/ Contemporary vocalist, Rebecca Tomassi has linked up with Jazz/ Funk/ Reggae/ Contemporary guitarist Peter Duncan.

They produce a very unique sound covering a wide mix of genres which can be tweaked to suit your individual occasion....from jazz standards to pop songs to funk to bossa nova to reggae.

We are both very experienced musicians and played at many celebrated venues throughout London and further afield.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We need a small space near to a power supply.


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, we're completely self contained. We bring our own amplification (guitar amp and vocal amp) to each gig.


What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know if parking is available and whether the unloading of our equipment is manageable next to, or near to the venue.


Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

No.


Are you self sufficient regarding equipment?

Yes, we both bring our own small, powerful amps which are ideal for most small, medium-size venues.
We also provide a mike for special announcements for our clients. This is often a good add-on for weddings and birthday parties.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Peter....I have been influenced by many jazz guitarists including Grant Green, Tal Farlow, Wes Montgomery, Jim Mullen and Martin Taylor. I also have a passion for funk and reggae music along with contemporary artists. My favourite song is 'Vincent' by Don Mclean.

Rebecca....I have been inspired by many jazz / contemporary singers including Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Samara Joy, Aretha Franklin, amongst others. One of my favourite songs is 'Comes Love' by Sam H. Stept/ Lew Brown.


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Peter...."I have been gigging in London and further afield for the past 28 + years since moving down from Leeds upon graduation from the City of Leeds College of Music.
I have led a number of bands and combos throughout that time, performing at countless weddings, birthday parties and corporate events."

Rebecca...."I started singing in 2014 after attending a jazz vocal course at Morley collage. I quickly began working professionally within the London jazz scene and have worked with some top names in the industry. I have performed at Pizza Express, The Green note, Camden,Piano Smithfield, Toulouse Lautrec, Kennington and the Bedford Acoustic Sessions. I also regularly perform for parties, weddings and functions."


What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Probably weddings or birthday parties. Our vibe seems to really suit these occassions.


Do you just play jazz

No. As well as playing a wide range of jazz standards, we also play contemporary songs, skilfully arranged to put our unique twist on famous tunes.
Examples include 'You make me Feel', 'Walk on By', 'Lovely Day' and 'Let's Stay Together' among many others.
Given enough notice, we can also arrange and play favourite songs for your special event.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We need about 30 mins to set up and sound check. A typical gig schedule would be two 45 minute sets with a short break in-between.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, provided the weather is favourable.


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely! We are happy to arrange and play favourite songs given enough notice.


How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Professional, laid-back, accommodating.


How long do you play for?

We can play one, two or three sets depending on the clients' requirements. We are very flexible and try to be as accommodating as possible.
We can also arrange and play favourite songs given prior notice.
