"We absolutely loved having Black Velvet Band play our wedding ceilidh at Clearwell Castle. My husband is from Scotland so we wanted a traditional Scottish ceilidh feel with some of the classics, and we were not disappointed! We had a good feeling about Black Velvet band from the moment we booked them - and sure enough, Mike and the guys were absolutely fantastic and made our evening party a huge success. The band were great and the instructions on the ceilidh dances were so helpful; even those of our party who may not have normally danced were up there loving life on the dancefloor. The fun and friendly atmosphere they created was just fab and so different from your ‘usual’ evening do. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceilidh and some said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would 100% book the band again and recommend them to friends. "Black Velvet Band Irish Band were excellent and really added to our Irish themed evening. Lots of very traditional music. The guys were very flexible and last minute added in a Ceili set without prior knowledge which was appreciated by all and added to the fun of the evening. Very highly recommended."

"My family and I hosted a charity afternoon tea with a Great Gatsby theme. Think rich colours, Prohibition cocktails, vintage china and plenty of people dressed up.The whole evening couldn’t have gone better if we’d tried to be honest but a huge HUGE asset to the night was the band- Cafe Manouche. Their Gypsy Jazz sound is phenomenal and really lent itself to our tea. They even tailored the music so it was casual and relaxed when our guests arrived and then picked up when the dancing started and between sets left us with a play list of themed music playing the back round. Not only were they a perfect band- but they were really really lovely as well. All in all a professional band who are hugely talented and I would recommend to anyone who want’s to add a touch of class to their event. THANKYOU Cafe Manouche!!! "

"I first heard Benoit and his Orchestra at a club in Shepherd's Buch over 7 years ago. Since then I've booked them to play at four events for our magazine readers and clients through my business, Matchbox Publishing, because they always deliver. They get the crowd dancing every time, and always guarantee a flood of compliments from the guests. So we booked Benoit and his Orchestra to play our wedding last weekend. AMAZING. First they played a great acoustic set for our guests over dinner, followed by a truly upbeat set on the dance floor afterwards. Wow. I have never seen more guests dancing at a wedding. And I've never personally danced so much in my life. As Benoit said, "If you don't dance at your own wedding, you will never dance". Two highlights amongst many were 1.) our first dance, Cheek to Cheek by Irvin Berlin, which Benoit agreed to learn for our wedding. It was such a special moment, and made it all the more so doing it to a brilliant live band, with ALL our friends and family joining in for the second half of the song. And 2.) the surprise Russian Wedding Dance which Benoit sprung on me and my bride. The song gets faster and faster. This was the most fun we've ever had on a dance floor. The atmosphere was fantastic all night, and we were left with amazing memories. Our guests said it was the best wedding music they'd experienced, evident by the amount of dancing that was going on. Thank you so much Benoit. Benoit also recommended the DJ to play afterwards, who was the perfect follow up, with a brilliant balance of swing and essential wedding classics that got everyone up and moving. So much fun."

"I would like to say that I feel privileged to have had Melisma performing at our retirement party. Everything about Melisma Jazz band was wonderful, they all looked very smart and professional and their performance was absolutley fantastic. Many asked where I had found them and others just thought I knew Sarah-Jane personally as she was so friendly! I cannot thank Melisma Jazz enough for making our event such a wounderful success, we will have lovely memories of the afternoon which seemed to end too soon - I just wanted them to play on and on!
