"We were really pleased that we had booked the Black Velvet band for a ceilidh at our daughter’s wedding at Old Down Manor. Before the event they spoke to our daughter and planned with her exactly what she would like from them, the type of music and how they would organise the evening so that she and her new husband could be ‘danced out’ at the end. On the day the band arrived in good time with all the appropriate equipment for the location. The performance was very professional, the music great and they got all the guests dancing along. The caller’s instructions were clear. So overall we were very happy and would definitely recommend them."

"It’s No' Reel Celidh Band played at our wedding ceilidh in September 2014. Our party was relatively small, consisting of about sixty guests from different parts of the UK and abroad. Far from everyone was familiar with ceilidhs, but went away with a wonderful and unique experience, largely thanks to the professionalism, beautiful musicianship, and kindness of the band. From the very first contact, months before or wedding, to the final packing-up after the ceilidh, It’s No' Reel kept surprising us with their willingness to help. We were aware that some of our requests (we wanted to use some of the time on the night for a performance with our drumming group, and we each liaised with them when planning surprises for each other) were somewhat unusual. Not only did they provide a lovely ceilidh, patiently encouraging people to take part, and with a good ear for the mood of the party, but they were more accommodating of our own ideas and visions than we could have hoped for."

"Lucy performed everything from our ceremony music to the evening and it was absolutely incredible and loved by all! Any request was never too much to do and her personal music we loved! "Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"I cannot recommend Georgia enough, she made my party!! Her whole style and how she sang all of the songs was stunning, I cannot stop re watching all of the videos of her from the day. Georgia gave us a list of songs to choose from beforehand and she sang them throughout her set. They all sounded beautiful and all the guests commented on how amazing Georgia was. My only regret of the day is that I couldn’t sit down and watch every minute of her performance to soak it up. My party was due to go ahead two years ago but due to a family bereavement it didn’t so this was a long time in the making and definitely worth the wait. Georgia definitely ticked all our boxes and we would highly recommend her :) "

"From the minute they tuned up with ‘oh What a Night’ we could tell the Absolute band were going to be brilliant. We had booked them last minute after someone had cancelled. We couldn’t believe our luck that they were free - someone else’s loss was our gain! We booked the six piece option with fiddle and they exceeded all of our hopes and expectations. Musically fantastic, lovely guys and a brilliant playlist. We got to have input from their vast repertoire, but then handed it over to them to put it all together and take charge. The dance floor was packed all night and they absolutely MADE our party. Look no further than this band - they are fantastic. "Ceol beag ceilidh band proved to be an excellent choice for our annual dinner dance. They demonstrated the steps, had an easy beat for dancing, encouraged participation, and there were always lots of people on the floor. Everyone enjoyed the ceilidh and by popular request we were delighted to welcome them back the next year. They did not let us down."
