"Absolutely fantastic performance at our wedding. Charlie was absolutely brilliant and our guests loved her. Lots of great songs to get people up dancing and she performed the perfect mix of genres. "Ella Fitzgerald was born on 25 April 1917. She didn't have the easiest of starts to life - losing both parents and making a living on the streets as a teenager. She had hopes of becoming a dancer but had no training. What she did have was the gift of the smoothest, silkiest voice Jazz has known with the most delicate of touches - to hear Ella was to be kissed on the cheek by the lightest of breezes. Over her career she recorded 2,000 songs many of which are now Jazz standards - a fact in part due to the Fitzgerald imprimatur. Annette Gregory has a voice that is naturally lower in pitch than Ella’s and wisely she does not attempt a tribute act that imitates - rather her performance is a celebration of Ella’s legacy and the songs that will be sung and heard for as long as humans live on this planet. For this gig she was to have been accompanied by a quartet but unfortunately the bassist and sax player were caught up in a traffic standstill on the M6, but the piano (John) and drums (Matt) backing meant the stripped down support ensured that we focused on the songs. Just as Annette does not try to sound like Ella, neither does she slavishly follow her interpretations. This was strikingly apparent in songs such as “Miss Otis Regrets” and “The Man I Love” (which was more of a rocking blues than the familiar ballad). Annette's delivery is characterised by controlled, fluent and delicate phrasing and a pair of ballads - “When a Woman Loves a Man” and “Embraceable You” - were particularly pleasing. Let's hope that Annette and the full quartet make it back to Buxton soon! (10 / 10)"

"We just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to you and Alex for the fantastic set you did on Saturday at Ben’s 40’s Themed 40th Birthday Party! You were so friendly and helpful that many of the guests assumed you were friends of Ben’s. Well you are now! Your voices and Alex’s guitar playing were really lovely and the choice of songs was spot on. I really appreciated the way you took charge of any announcements and navigated the events during the evening without ever taking over, so that it took away any stress from us. Thanks also for enabling Izzy to use the backing tracks so that she could sing some special songs for Ben .You both really helped to make the evening such an enjoyable event for all involved. Lots of people commented on the music and wanted to know who you were, and the staff at the venue said how much they had enjoyed the music and the atmosphere it created. I know Ben will be in touch with you soon, but once again thank you both so much again for helping to make the event ‘go with a swing’ so that we all had a really lovely evening. "From the outset, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with Teresa De Roberto. Amazing attention to detail, brilliant communication and a complete willingness to please. The day before, Teresa helped us set up the amp and mikes, which was very helpful. On the wedding day, Teresa made sure the sound was sorted for speeches. It meant a lot to work with someone so professional and personable. Teresa's classical music set was full of verve and energy. She has a perfect way of engaging and interacting with the audience. Her musical/pop set, alternating with the disco DJ, was spot-on. Teresa is an amazing entertainer and certainly someone we would love to work with again!"

"Kevin played for my 50th celebrations last night 13 December 2014, he was utterly AMAZING. When I originally made the enquiry, I imagined that it would just be Kevin, but to my surprise, his colleague and pianist Steve, was available too … the music was FABULOUS. What genuinely lovely guys and such talent. They exceed all my expectations, in fact they blew them clear out of the water. The evening was fantastic and the guys made it one that I’ll never forget and neither will my guests. Thank you … x"

"Taylor entertained us at a party we threw in October. Our guests enjoyed the playlist she compiled for us and her engaging personality shone through in her voice. As a result of this we asked Taylor to sing for us again at another event at the end of January! "
