"Gareth Giles is a SUPERB organist who led our service recently with aplomb and at very short notice ! Gareth your choice of tempi, colorful registrations and amazing harmonies for the last verses (! Bairstow, eat your heart out !) coupled with a superb empathy for the poetic flow of the hymnody truly inspired our congregation to sing confidently and rhythmically. Many members commented on your wonderful extemporisation facility before and during the service and your Rheinberger postlude at the conclusion of the worship was incredible. We have never before heard the organ played with such power, dynamism and virtuosity. You are a truly gifted Church Musician and we look forward to seeing you again at some point. "We hired Alan to play at our wedding reception. Throughout the whole process leading up to the wedding, he was extremely responsive and engaging, as well as accommodating, as he even moved things around to be able to perform on our day. He provided us with a long list of songs in different genres that he could play to help us choose the songs we wanted. On the day, we had a lot of positive feedback from our guests regarding how well he performed. His performance went a long way to help create an amazing atmosphere during the reception as well as the wedding breakfast. "At short Notice Andrew played the pipes at a veterans funeral. To say the family, friends and Veterans were overwhelmed was an understatement. Immaculately turned out and the music he played for the family of a late veteran was very apt and note perfect. I would highly recommend Pipe Major Andrew Paton for any event whether it be Funerals, Wedding, Events etc... Absolutely outstanding..."
