Throughout the whole booking process you were responsive, accommodating and helpful and I was really impressed with your ability to tailor your set to accommodate my requests. I was amazed by your ability to learn so many songs in such a short space of time, a real testament to your vocal abilities and dedication to your clients! On the night, you were punctual, organised and efficient when setting up before wowing my guests with 3 sets of top quality music! Your ability to gauge and read the mood of the crowd was spot on and you soon had everyone singing along with you, me especially..! All my guests have been contacting me this week to thank me for the party and all of them have commented about how impressed they were with you both. Ladies, thank you once again for a top night that I will certainly remember for a long time. Anyone out there thinking about hiring a band, book Gemma and Yue, you will not be disappointed…!!!"

"We booked Funk it Up! for our wedding this summer & can not tell you how blown away we were by them. They were ALL absolute stars & Funk it Up! was easily the best part of our day - they brought 100% party vibes! They were an incredibly tight band; every member was an excellent musician & having been a bit of a fusspot about music building up to the day, I could not have been more chuffed. The dance floor was always packed out & the setlist did not let up! I lost count of the number of people who said to us afterwards how brilliant Funk it Up! had been, with the singer Ginger getting top marks from everybody for her showmanship and 10/10 bringing of the party throughout the set! If you want a proper old-school 70s/80s funk and soul band for your wedding or function, without the modern cliched Bruno Mars / Uptown Funk type stuff, then Funk it Up! is the band for you! Ginger was super helpful and communicative in the lead-up - she was able to add a trumpet player to the band's lineup to fill out the sound for us on the night & even kindly offered us the use of the band's PA for an hour at the end of the night after they'd finished playing. Do yourself a favour and book Funk it Up! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and you will NOT regret it."

"Our guests absolutely LOVED this band at our recent Valentine's Day wedding! We knew we didn't want the usual wedding DJ, but instead wanted a more laid back, chilled reception, where guests could dance if they wished or just relax with first class entertainment... and that's exactly what we got. From the start, Tom was so helpful, and more than happy to work within our budget. Their set list is perfect and the band is happy to accept requests too. On the night, they were amazing! Excellent musicians, stunning vocals and utterly professional, the band were the highlight of our evening reception and I would recommend them highly!! Thanks again guys!"

"Please can you pass on our massive thank you to the band! I definitely drunkenly thanked the singer personally and had been fan-girling her all night, she was unreal, but they were all INCREDIBLE and the dj did an amazing job, so glad we added that on at the last minute! The dance floor was packed all night and it was absolutely perfect. We actually can't believe it was our wedding it felt like we were at a gig which was just the vibe we were after :) please let me know the best place to leave a review and thank you so much as well for all of your help in planning it. We really don't feel like thank you cuts it and if they ever do a performance that we can buy tickets to we will be there as it would be nice to enjoy the music a little more sober, haha. "We hired Funky Friday to play at our Enterprise Awards Evening, the band played whilst guests arrived, over lunch and at the end of the event.The music was exceptional and the band catered for exactly what we wanted, they were friendly and very well organised.I would recommend Funky Friday for any other corporate event."
