"A very big thank you for the wonderful ceilidh on Saturday for our Harvest Celebration. It was great evening with just the right balance between the dancing and resting. "Black Velvet Band Irish Duo yet again provided fantastic music at our Christmas party. The duo are so flexible and helpful - this year they played quite a few Scottish reels etc for our Highland Themed Party which was perfect. The vibe was also just right and got lots of people up and dancing. It was a key contribution to the overall atmosphere. Please thank them for me. I highly recommend them! "

"Had a great time with the band at our wedding, there was a great mix throughout and all the guests found something they liked in the music including the Irish parts added. Asked for the 6 piece band as well with male and female vocals which added variation and fiddle players provide that little extra. Thanks Steve, Geoff and the team ! "We hired Rachel to sing at our daughters engagement party and she was brilliant. After selecting a play list she really did do the songs justice. She also did requests as my daughters like very different tastes in music. One asked for Dreams by The Corrs and the other requested Nothing Else Matters by Metallica and it was beautiful. I must say that we have taken Rachel's card as we are seriously considering hiring her for my daughters wedding in 2018. Communication was good with regards emails and keeping in touch before the event. We arrived a a little late with my daughter and her fiancee and i felt awful but Rachel was very patient and kind about it. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who would like a good quality singer for any event be it a grand wedding/works party or any other event. Thank you Rachel for making our event so special!"

"I hired The Haystacks to play at my 40th birthday after seeing them perform at a friend's wedding. I would highly recommend them as they play a wide range of popular music from different decades, with the possibility of learning a favourite song to make your occasion extra special. Many popular pop songs work in there soft rock/country style as well as the more obvious classics. For example Lady Gaga Bad Romance I preferred to the pop original. So they are a good choice for a party of all ages covering many music genres."

"Catherine and Danny played in our home for our house warming/pre wedding get together for our family and friends. They were truly amazing and added a great atmosphere to the party! I've had so much positive feedback from all our guests who thought the duo were fabulous! We would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone. They were punctual, professional and really friendly not to mention great musicians! We are that impressed we are already organising a summer party for July 2015 in our home for them to come and perform again!!! (Party 10/10/14)."

"Lucy performed everything from our ceremony music to the evening and it was absolutely incredible and loved by all! Any request was never too much to do and her personal music we loved! Everyone at the wedding said we nailed our music choice! If I could do it all again, Lucy and her band would be booked again and again.."

"Thank you, guys, for finding time beforehand to rehearse with Amy, the bridegroom’s sister, who sang Elton John’s “Your Song” for the bride and groom’s 1st dance. It was beautiful and very special to have her sing their first song with accompaniment from the band. I think everyone was very moved by it (we are hoping someone filmed it but are not sure!). The dance floor was packed all evening for the ceilidh and we all had great fun - which was the intention. It was an amazing day, evening and whole weekend - we carried on the celebrations on Sunday! Thank you to Black Velvet Band for helping to make the wedding so memorable. "
