"Just wanted to say that we thought you were all fantastic. The wedding had been such fun all day, followed by wonderful food, and you certainly kept up the high energy feel. The fact that so many people were up to dance, most of whom had never been to a Ceilidh before, was testimony to your good music and the lively but relaxed and welcoming atmosphere you created. "Oh, what a night I had to remember on Saturday. (11.9.2021) Sound with Us came to do a Ceilidh for my big birthday bash and provided a disco for afterwards. They were just out of this world and had everybody up dancing or jigging along in their seats. Their sound quality and musicianship were first class and the caller, who had the biggest task keeping everyone in check, did a magnificent job. My guests were in fits of laughter and he was so patient with us and eventually managed to guide most of us through our paces. I’ve had so many messages since, asking where I had hired such a good band from. Sincere thanks to all the band Fran xxxxx"

"We have booked Black Velvet Band for our Wedding in Devon on 20th May. We were delighted to find out from Jennie that they were playing at The Water Poet in Spitalfields on St Patricks Night. Being from London, this was perfect. We arrived to a heaving pub with great Irish tunes belting out the door. The pub was packed and everyone was Irish on Friday. Black Velvet Irish Band played everything from The Wild Rover to some traditional reels and jigs. The were excellent and we cannot wait to have them play on our special day. We met with the lads after who were all so friendly and welcoming. I’ve been in a quite a few pubs on St Patrick’s Day but I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like that. The crowd were singing and dancing, Black Velvet your were fantastic, we cant wait to see you guys on 20th May 2017. Niamh Ivey"

"Duncan played at my brother's birthday celebration - he was such a pleasure to work with. He has an eclectic repertoire of songs from 70s/80s/90s/00s. Duncan really interacted with the guests and everyone was up dancing in no time at all. We would highly recommend him if you want a good singer/entertainer for a party/social gathering. "

"These guys were absolutely fantastic, extremely professional in the booking process, could not have been more helpful! They set up independently and when the music started playing we all rushed in to the hall to start dancing. An infectious and electric atmosphere was created and we could not recommend them more highly! If you want a fabulous night of music that will get everybody moving, these guys are the ones for you!"

"James was the perfect choice for our wedding from the beginning, he was nothing but helpful and accommodating!! Nothing was too much trouble for him!! His talent is incredible, I can't believe he hasn't got a record deal yet... But I'm watching this space! I had so many comments about how superb the music was, it suited everyone as people could dance, but also guests could still talk to one another!! He was such a lovely chap, he fitted in as though he was a guest at the party! Cannot recommend him highly enough....to be honest I'm trying to think of another reason I can have a get together just to hear/hire him again!!! Thanks James you were smashing!!!!"
