" The band was MAGNIFICENT! Such talented musicians and a unique and fabulous part of our wedding day. We loved the musical choices and were surprised yet delighted that our guests took it upon themselves to take to the dance floor! Quite unexpected but a testament to the magical qualities of music. Witnessing multiple generations responding to the music became one of the most special memories of the day! The atmosphere this band created was electric, and seeing as many of our guests were musicians or involved in the creative industry we can wholeheartedly recommend this band for an event! "

"I booked The Jive Trio to play at my husband’s 40th birthday party at our home. The trio played beautifully, they are a talented group of guys! The live acoustic music created a wonderful atmosphere on the day. The band were organised, prompt and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend the Jive Trio for an event."

"Black Velvet Irish Trio were absolutely fantastic! They had the entire room up singing and dancing for both sets. They played a great mix of upbeat Irish songs and traditional classics and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance. "My husband and I wanted to plan a wedding day that combined all our passions and interests, and we were so lucky to find Fann Street Hot Club. For a reasonable price, they kept everyone dancing all afternoon, playing all the gypsy jazz tunes we've loved for years. Our memories of that day will always be so special to us, and we'll always hear the soundtrack of the band playing our favourite music when we look back and remember. "We just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to you and Alex for the fantastic set you did on Saturday at Ben’s 40’s Themed 40th Birthday Party! You were so friendly and helpful that many of the guests assumed you were friends of Ben’s. Well you are now! Your voices and Alex’s guitar playing were really lovely and the choice of songs was spot on. I really appreciated the way you took charge of any announcements and navigated the events during the evening without ever taking over, so that it took away any stress from us. Thanks also for enabling Izzy to use the backing tracks so that she could sing some special songs for Ben .You both really helped to make the evening such an enjoyable event for all involved. Lots of people commented on the music and wanted to know who you were, and the staff at the venue said how much they had enjoyed the music and the atmosphere it created. I know Ben will be in touch with you soon, but once again thank you both so much again for helping to make the event ‘go with a swing’ so that we all had a really lovely evening. "You may recall a desolate band of misfits in Tim Burton’s 'Nightmare Before Chirstmas' that popped up every now and then with musical interludes of damp and haunting melodies that were, in their own way, quite captivating. Well The Skeleton Crew have a very similar allure; that is intriguing violins and erratic accordions, both utterly besmirched with wonderfully gloomy undertones and lingering vocals."
