"A fantastically talented and professional duo who seem to enjoy an encyclopaedic knowledge of music from Central and Eastern Europe. Although they are only two musicians they produce the sound of a small orchestra. Igor possesses a very fine voice and his renditions of Moscow Nights, Ochi Chornie and Those Were the Days (among a huge list of songs) are second to none. Sarah is a brilliant violinist and domra player. They enhanced our evening and made it quite unforgettable. "

" The band was MAGNIFICENT! Such talented musicians and a unique and fabulous part of our wedding day. We loved the musical choices and were surprised yet delighted that our guests took it upon themselves to take to the dance floor! Quite unexpected but a testament to the magical qualities of music. Witnessing multiple generations responding to the music became one of the most special memories of the day! The atmosphere this band created was electric, and seeing as many of our guests were musicians or involved in the creative industry we can wholeheartedly recommend this band for an event! "

"Mike and the band were excellent and performed brilliantly for my 50th birthday celebration. Guests commented straight away on how good they were and we loved that they were able to tune in to the vibe of the evening and adjust to the various levels of enthusiasm and dancing competence that was on the dance floor. I thoroughly recommend them if you are thinking of having a hoe down and know that both myself and my guests will be remembering a great evening for a long time to come."

" Me and a friend booked Manouche North for a 1920s themed party at a local venue, and we were very happy with the two sets they played. The group perform well together, and their upbeat sound certainly got people up and dancing. The band's set list worked brilliantly for the 20s theme, and they dressed the part too! "We booked the Black Velvet Band Gypsy Duo (accordion and fiddle) to play at our wedding celebration garden party in August. Mike and Jase played exactly the music we wanted, a lovely mix of traditional, modern, jazz, Irish and were happy to play requests. We live on a farm and when the duo started up, all our cows came running up the field and stayed close to enjoy the lovely sounds coming from the garden. I have to say, the two were perfect for our garden party and the sound of the fiddle and accordion ringing out into the evening was absolutely lovely and was thoroughly enjoyed by our guests whose ages ranged from six to ninety! Mike and Jase are lovely, affable chaps and we should have no hesitation in booking them again if we have another “do”! I highly recommend them. "
