We were aiming for a fun yet sophisticated event during which the girls and parents could be together for one last time before the exams and then leaving Wycombe Abbey and you fulfilled the brief completely. Your set during dinner was pitch perfect, beginning with gentle, mellifluous music to provide a sympathetic background to the general chit-chat over dinner. An hour later, the guests had forgotten their chatter and were totally absorbed in the consummate performance of lively and accomplished numbers."

"We have booked Black Velvet Band for our Wedding in Devon on 20th May. We were delighted to find out from Jennie that they were playing at The Water Poet in Spitalfields on St Patricks Night. Being from London, this was perfect. We arrived to a heaving pub with great Irish tunes belting out the door. The pub was packed and everyone was Irish on Friday. Black Velvet Irish Band played everything from The Wild Rover to some traditional reels and jigs. The were excellent and we cannot wait to have them play on our special day. We met with the lads after who were all so friendly and welcoming. I’ve been in a quite a few pubs on St Patrick’s Day but I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like that. The crowd were singing and dancing, Black Velvet your were fantastic, we cant wait to see you guys on 20th May 2017. Niamh Ivey"

"Jimmy was awesome at our 21st party. Organisation was great, shared play lists and arrived on time etc but most importantly he was fantastic! Happy to play early on whilst people were at the bar but gradually enticed them to the floor for dancing and singing. Very happy to recommend!! "

Tupelo Honey was perfect (although I fear there will be limited opportunities for re-use for you!), I loved Sally Maclennane, it was great to see a lot of people who probably haven't danced in years hit the dance floor, and Nicole particularly enjoyed being the guest drummer on Mustang Sally. We had a lot of people saying how excellent the band was."

"Mel was amazing - She certainly knows how to create a fabulous atmosphere with a wide array of songs spanning through the decades to suit everyone's taste in music. She took a great interest in what we wanted for our special evening and planned her sets perfectly to keep the party going throughout the evening. I would not hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to others. Nothing was too much trouble…. an extremely talented and charismatic lady!!!! "
