" We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a party, and we could not have been happier with their performance. The band’s admin team reached out prior to the event to make arrangements, and communication was maintained throughout. Set up was quick and efficient in the background of our event, and before we knew it, we were forming lines for our first Ceilidh. It was a mixed group in terms of experience, but Phil delivered clear instructions prior to each dance, and everyone quickly picked it up. The trio are all exceptionally skilled musicians, and the music throughout the dancing was fantastic. We booked two hours of dancing and found that to be the perfect amount of time post-dinner. Black Velvet Band created a fun and lively atmosphere at our event and the Ceilidh dancing was enjoyed by all. We will definitely be in contact with the band for future events and would recommend them to all."

"We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Trio for making our fundraising ceilidh a great success with delightful music and dancing. The level of challenge of the dances was pitched just right to tempt our guests (who were aged from 4 to 84) to have a go – and they all came away with big smiles on their faces! Phil – the band’s friendly caller – gave just the right amount of instruction and then a quick recap before each dance and was happy to adapt dances to suit some of the children. Arrangements and payment were all handled professionally and efficiently. Thank you so much for helping us raise over £300 for our cause!"

"Even though it literally was a last minute request, Sarah-Jane put me onto mira k duo who were absolutely fantastic, if you are looking for intimate and not over the top music at your event/party then I would look no further. After booking I was given their personal phone number and even offered to make my own playlist from their already substantial repertoire, think of seeing a band and you deciding on the set list! Thank you so much for making everything go smoothly and stress free. My partner had an amazing 40th"

"From the minute they tuned up with ‘oh What a Night’ we could tell the Absolute band were going to be brilliant. We had booked them last minute after someone had cancelled. We couldn’t believe our luck that they were free - someone else’s loss was our gain! We booked the six piece option with fiddle and they exceeded all of our hopes and expectations. Musically fantastic, lovely guys and a brilliant playlist. We got to have input from their vast repertoire, but then handed it over to them to put it all together and take charge. The dance floor was packed all night and they absolutely MADE our party. Look no further than this band - they are fantastic. "We booked Kirsty via a recommendation, and we were unaware of her talents and wow we are so glad we did. Quite frankly we were blown away from beginning to end and that’s not just during the hours she was DJing. The care and effort she provided over our wedding has been exemplary. She had fantastic communication from point of booking and made every effort to ensure that the music played catered exactly to our requirements. Even going as far as suggesting bands we’d never heard of that fit perfectly with what our guests would enjoy. With her own PA and disco lights there wasn’t a moment the dance floor wasn’t filled. Kirsty did a tip top job! 11 out of 10 - would hire again."
