"106 Miles to Chicago performed for my Husband's surprise 50th Birthday party and were amazing. So much fun, and had all the guests up dancing and doing the moves... and even singing! The 'stage' looked great too, with the american flags and pictures of the boys either side - Wife, Family and guests all very happy. Husband elated. Very successful night. "We would highly recommend Rhiannon. She kicked off our mini festival with a bang, singing all our favourite feel-good songs. She was a joy to work with and even sang last minute songs we requested. We are a charity who work with young adults with complex disabilities and she showed a real compassion and kindness towards them and entered the spirit of what we were doing. Everyone was really impressed by her stunning voice and loved the song choices. Hopefully we can get her to visit again in the future. Everyone at The Bevern Trust 10 stars!"

"We had a fantastic joint 30th birthday party for 60 people and the Black Velvet Ceilidh Band did an amazing job of making the evening a huge success! Mike gave me a call a couple of weeks prior to the event to confirm all arrangements such as timings, location, numbers, and the experience of the party goers (very mixed - lots of complete beginners). Mike was really enthusiastic on the phone and I felt very confident all was going to go well. At the beginning of the evening, we were pretty disorganized and neither James or I were there to meet the band on arrival, but our friend saw them into the venue and they were very flexible and happy to go with the flow and got set up really quickly. The whole band were keen to help and happily agreed to start the ceilidh a little later than planned, as well as letting me use the mic to make announcements! The 2 x 1 hour sets of ceilidh dancing were amazing and both the calling and music were fantastic - our guests absolutely loved every moment of it and have all said how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. Thank you very much to the whole band for an excellent evening, we would recommend you to anyone! "

"Absolute band played at our civil partnership party and really brought a lively atmosphere! We all enjoyed the mix of traditional Irish tunes and classic hits, and they played songs to get people up and dancing. Particularly special was they learned specific songs for me to sing with them (as a surprise for my partner), and helped me with the singing which was much appreciated. Your music set was perfect all the classics were played. All the guest have messaged me to say having a live band perform made the evening so authentic. "These guys were brilliant!!! The band were joined last minute by a stand in lead singer and you would never have guessed. They were completely brilliant performers and had the marquee rocking all night. Technically brilliant but more than that - in tune with our guests and reading the room! They were also patient, kind, polite and super friendly- thanks so much guys it was an absolute joy to have you at our wedding!!! Everybody loved it!!"

"Hollie was amazing performing at our wedding on the 4th August 2017. Hollie was excellent before our big day too, planning the structure of the day and with a lot of songs we chose ourselves. From our first conversation with Hollie our minds were put at ease with her calm, professional, and friendly manner which really took all of the stress away. Hollie created a really personal set which added a touch of magic to our special day.....she truly has an amazing voice. I will definitely hire her again. "
