"We both wanted to extend our thanks for the wonderful music the BVB accordion and fiddle duo performed for us on our wedding day. We both had an amazing time and really felt that Mike and Jase added to the day immeasurably. Stef in particular enjoyed the special attention that was given to her by the duo - the guys played an instrumental version of her favourite song - and we both loved seeing family members singing along to Dutch classics. The interaction with the duo themselves was excellent and certainly helped us feel relaxed in both the run up to and on the day itself."

"My legs are still aching because I danced so much! The band arrived on time and were very friendly and helpful and the music was delightful. It was a mixed crowd, many of whom had never met each other before but with one thing in common – they had never done ceilidh dancing before! The caller was absolutely brilliant – it didn’t matter that most people had no idea how to dance the reels! Everyone joined in and thoroughly enjoyed themselves."

"Really loved the music, it was perfect for setting the tone for our garden style wedding. The band were super easy going and were patient when our timings slightly overran, which we were super appreciative of. The band took the initiative to set up outside for their first set which we loved! All of our guests loved the music and told us how great it was to either dance along to or simply enjoy while drinking and chatting. Will definitely be recommending to others. "We’ve had really positive feedback from the event and it was a lovely family day. There were approximately 800 residents that came along and enjoyed the entertainment . The band were great and kept in contact with me throughout the day to see if what they were offering was suitable for the event. I was out and about taking photographs of the event and saw several residents having a dance to the brass band or clapping away to the tune. Overall we were really pleased with the entertainment provided and the band were all lovely."

"I first heard Benoit and his Orchestra at a club in Shepherd's Buch over 7 years ago. Since then I've booked them to play at four events for our magazine readers and clients through my business, Matchbox Publishing, because they always deliver. They get the crowd dancing every time, and always guarantee a flood of compliments from the guests. So we booked Benoit and his Orchestra to play our wedding last weekend. AMAZING. First they played a great acoustic set for our guests over dinner, followed by a truly upbeat set on the dance floor afterwards. Wow. I have never seen more guests dancing at a wedding. And I've never personally danced so much in my life. As Benoit said, "If you don't dance at your own wedding, you will never dance". Two highlights amongst many were 1.) our first dance, Cheek to Cheek by Irvin Berlin, which Benoit agreed to learn for our wedding. It was such a special moment, and made it all the more so doing it to a brilliant live band, with ALL our friends and family joining in for the second half of the song. And 2.) the surprise Russian Wedding Dance which Benoit sprung on me and my bride. The song gets faster and faster. This was the most fun we've ever had on a dance floor. The atmosphere was fantastic all night, and we were left with amazing memories. Our guests said it was the best wedding music they'd experienced, evident by the amount of dancing that was going on. Thank you so much Benoit. Benoit also recommended the DJ to play afterwards, who was the perfect follow up, with a brilliant balance of swing and essential wedding classics that got everyone up and moving. So much fun."

" The band was MAGNIFICENT! Such talented musicians and a unique and fabulous part of our wedding day. We loved the musical choices and were surprised yet delighted that our guests took it upon themselves to take to the dance floor! Quite unexpected but a testament to the magical qualities of music. Witnessing multiple generations responding to the music became one of the most special memories of the day! The atmosphere this band created was electric, and seeing as many of our guests were musicians or involved in the creative industry we can wholeheartedly recommend this band for an event! "

"Thursday night was a blast. Couldn’t have gone any better! On Thursday the 25th of January, the Exeter Caledonian Society hosted a Burns Night Ball accompanied by the Black Velvet Band. The band was brilliant. Their musical prowess, stamina and all round musicianship was a joy to work with - and to listen to - making the night ever better. I am so thankful for what they did. The band is easy to work with, knowledgeable about timings and can cater to any requirements. "
