"Gareth was a guest organist for a Sunday service when, at short notice, we needed a deputy. He took a great deal of time and trouble to familiarise himself with our order of service and conventions, played the hymns with a real ear for the congregation, and brought true musicianship to the prelude, offertory and postlude. He switched to piano for the sung solo, which he accompanied with real sensitivity to the piece and the singer. The congregation were delighted to have him play for us, and we would have him back in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose."

He was so professional from the moment he arrived, he took into account all of our requests and even allowed my husband to get up and have a sing along. "Des George played at our Cancer Research Christmas Choir event. He was absolutely brilliant. He played for 4 hours solid and he absolutely nailed every song. He combined brilliantly with the drummer and everyone agreed they produced a great sound. I would unreservedly recommend Des for any function where you need live music. Not only that Des is a great guy and really got into the spirit of the occasion."

"I engaged Gareth to accompany two choirs and soloists in a fundraising concert in aid of Macmillan cancer. He was SUPERB in every way with experience in bringing out the best in all performers from the professionals to the amateurs. In particular, his musicianship, sensitivity, ability to extemporise sympathetically and enhance any performance. Gareth's musical skills have to be heard and witnessed to be understood for how his playing transforms and securely underpins the Music and the people performing. He also accompanied me in a gorgeous flute and piano piece 'song for my mother ' by Geoff Easles. The Jazz style in this piece highlighted another wonderful aspect of Gareth's abilities - to play jazz in a free and effortless way . On a personal level Gareth is also very professional and approachable and reliable . The adult choir for those with learning disabilities were boosted in their confidence and musicality to sing with him too. It was a joy to watch them and they received a standing ovation! Simply FANTASTIC , EXCELLENT, NO HESITATION to RECOMMEND except that he might not be so available the next time I need him ! Thank you Gareth. Veronica Austin- concert organiser . "

"We booked Rob and Mark for our wedding reception evening 'do' and are so happy with the decision we made! Rob guided us through their repertoire, was prompt in his replies and gave us suggestions as to what order songs were done in. The evening flowed perfectly and we've had so many positive comments from guests. Lovely touches, such as some word tweaking to make it so very personal. Rob, and his band, just got on with it and are clearly professionals. We'd recommend them to anyone, for any event. There's nothing like brilliant live music!"

"Des played and entertained our wedding party/ reception with a key board and bass guitarist to accompany. It was intended as background music while our guests mingled both inside and outside, to create a little atmosphere before the meal. It was a triumph!!"

"Gareth Giles is an amazing musician. Thank you for coming to our church and leading the hymnody with such musicality and regard for the liturgy within. Your idea to end the service by switching to the Piano and playing Debussy's 'Clair de Lune' was truly inspired. As the evening sun set and the evocative music filled our church there was not ONE whisper - every member sat riveted in their seats to this extraordinary musical treat. This was such a fitting end to the worship and I think a 'first' that all our members sat and listtened and applauded. Gareth is also an extremely nice person to work with - self-effacing, reserved, a wicked sense of humour but UTTERLY professional in every way. Anyone reading this should book him asap ! WONDERFUL. Thank you Gemma for inviting me to play for your wedding at Hengrave Hall. What a beautiful day it was, in such a stunning venue - I had a great time playing your requested music on the organ in the chapel, and then afterwards on the piano in the Banqueting Hall for your wedding breakfast. "Mark was amazing, we contacted him with only a few weeks to go, and gave him a bunch of requests for him to play organ and piano solo plus accompanying cello. He had to practice some pieces he’d not come across before, and he totally delivered. He was a wealth of advice of what would work, but equally he listened to what we wanted and went out of his way to make sure we got the music that worked for us. Very accommodating and very accomplished, very glad to have had him there for our big day and to have made his acquaintance. Wish him all the best of luck in future."
