"We booked Straight Up for our wedding in April 2024, and they were absolutely amazing! We were slightly hesitant as we only had the promo video on the website to go off, but the band were even better in person. We loved that they had an extensive list of songs on their repertoire, and they happily played all 32 songs that we requested from that list! Communication prior to the wedding was clear, and the booking process was really easy. The band ensured that the dancefloor was full throughout the night, and we had such great feedback from all of our guests. They even learnt a 'last song' for us rather than a first dance, which was an amazing way to end the night. "

"It was a fabulous night, a joy to experience and your music was the icing on the cake. Everybody without exception loved the band and most of them danced their soxx off! The music was superb, the mix of repertoire perfect and the musicians jelled so well together, with great tempos, dynamics and arrangements and the backing vocals were superb. We all figure that the music on Sunday night was just about as good as it gets. Many of our guests said that this was the best band they have ever seen and I agree, you are World class! (and, over 50+ years, I've seen them all)."

"The multimdeia presentation by Dave Merrick on the Origins of Jazz attracted an audience of more than sixty, with an encouraging number of young people. The recordings of New Orleans parade bands and others were used to illustrate the evening with Brendan Whitmore and Natalie Davis adding the live experience. Dave (Guitar) Natalie and Brendan had previously presented a Billie Holiday show at Bath's American Museum, which was a sell out with the demand for tickets exceeding the capacity by quite a margin. "Dearest Samuel and the whole of the choir, Allan and I were so sorry not to say goodbye to you properly after the service - with all the photos being taken it was all a bit overwhelming! We honestly can't thank you enough or tell you how amazing we thought you were.
