Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

The best gig I played at was a Wedding in Javea, Spain. But I also played the bagpipes for the famous Edmundo Ross on his 90th birthday, also in Spain.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I was classically trained on violin and viola at 11 years old. Later in life, I formed a folk band in Spain, then when I returned to the UK I formed an Irish band. I learnt the bagpipes at 36, as my mother was Scottish, and it sort of ran in my blood.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

My favourite event to play at is Burns Supper, you get fed haggis as well, and oh how I love haggis and whisky.
