"The Tribe were very good. The guy who seemed to be in charge was very professional. The band set up quickly and we’re ready to go on time. The female singer was great and engaged with kids and got them dancing. All in all we were happy with the band and, given the demand at the time, the price was acceptable."

" Wow what can I say, Embassy are absolutely brilliant. They performed at our wedding for 150 guests and they had the dance floor buzzing from the moment they started. Everyone commented on how great they were. The singing, the music, the dancing. Everything was great. They were also lovely to deal with in the run up to the event, responding quickly to emails and answering questions about the day. Thank you! "The Rifles have played at the Star inn a couple of times and each time have brought a good crowd with them. They play a great selection of songs suitable for all age groups - some great classics and current songs and they always have everyone up and dancing. They're very professional and have a great set up. We would always have them back - great band and great people."

"We booked Shakers Gold for our wedding celebrations after watching their promo video & we are so pleased we did, they exceeded all expectations. They really started the party, getting young and old up dancing within minutes of playing. They performed our first dance song wonderfully. Many guests have passed comment on how great the band were throughout the evening & the dance floor was never empty. The band were discreet in setting up/down & were really responsive to all communication beforehand. We all had a fantastic time and can’t thank Shakers Gold enough! Now looking for an excuse to have you play again!! Thanks again, and we’ll be sure to follow you and come and see you play in the future"

"My husband & I booked The Cheers Function Band for our wedding on the 05/10/2023. After searching for hours and hours for a band they stood out the most as they had so many 5* reviews! And now we know why! We spoke to Ben throughout the whole process and his communication was excellent. We booked an acoustic duo set for our welcome drinks and the quartet band + saxophone for the evening! We were super keen to have a saxophone finish after seeing this at our friend’s wedding. It was a great addition and a fantastic way to end the night. The band was absolutely fantastic on the night. We would like to say a special thank you to our lead singer Seonaid - she was brilliant & really engaged with the guests. We had so much complaints about how amazing she was! We would highly recommend The Cheers Function Band for your Wedding / Event! Thank you so for being part of our special day!"

"The Kindred Collective are one of the best bands to grace my stage in the last 5 years. Fact. Cath, as with most great, 'small' singers has a power that belies her size and blows your socks of when you first hear her, combined with a control and vocal range that are truly impressive and a joy to listen to. Her effortlessly cool voice sits perfectly balanced on top of Ben and Joe's backing, and what a sound they make. In 20 odd years in the music industry, I've rarely seen 2 people connect more on stage and be so creative with their instrumentation and arrangements. They make stripped back drums and acoustic guitar feel like you're listening to a 5 piece band, through some of the smoothest, funkiest, most head bobbing-est playing I've seen in a long time. Hugely engaging to watch on stage, they put a smile on every face in the audience without fail. I could watch 'em all night."

"The Leathernecks were a huge hit at our wedding. They did a great rendition of a bit of a rogue first dance song and played loads of great music through out the night. Lots of very sweaty people on the dance floor!"

"My husband and I had a joint birthday tea dance last week at the Grimsdyke Hotel. Sheldon provided fabulous jazz and soft music on guitar and keyboard during the tea. After this he became our DJ and had everybody up and dancing for 2 hours! I have had so many wonderful comments from my friends and family all citing the great job Sheldon did. I would not hesitate to have Sheldon supply the music for any parties or functions we have in the future."

"We recently saw Mirrored who played at a good friend’s wedding. From the moment they started playing everyone was dancing. They created such a lovely atmosphere really engaging with the guests and making sure the evening reception really was one to remember. Would highly recommend them to bring a bit of sparkle to any occasion. "

"Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo.
