"I needed some gear at ultra short notice. They had it, they delivered it within two hours and I was using it less than two hours later. It is quality gear, with quality cables and hardware, supplied in quality flight cases. They provide ample back up cables as well. Very nice touch. The guys are all helpful and very nice to talk with. The prices are incredibly reasonable, too. If you're in the market, you could do a lot worse than giving BH Sound & Lighting Hire a call."

"We hired a DIY Party Bundle (and a sub-woofer) for a bash at the pub. Brilliant. James is very responsive, he operates by Instant Message, and it works very well. Kit was amazing - it's real quality stuff. It made the party. An ipod with a 5 hour playlist of our fave choonz was better than having a DJ. Great service, great kit, great price."

"We hired Grimshaw Audio to run an outdoor marquee-based bands evening in the Hope Valley. This was a big challenge, and lasted for the whole night. Chris rose to the task with no hesitation whatsoever, and did a totally fabulous job. Getting the sound right and balanced in a marquee is particularly difficult, but Chris got it spot-on for the whole night, for both bands. A great job! At all times he was extremely professional, interacted perfectly with us all, and gave us exactly what we wanted. We could not fault him. We would recommend him to anybody. Thanks Chris!"

"Hired the 'Ultimate Party Bundle' to use with our own decks, mixer and radio mike for a wedding (speeches and disco). Equipment was delivered and set up on time and provided great sound and lighting. The package was ideal for the marquee (about 90 guests). Lights and speakers were in excellent condition. Basement Hire answered all my questions in advance regarding connections, cables etc. "

"We had our Wheatley Rugby Club Summer Ball at the weekend and Chris organised the disco lighting and the marquee lighting for us. I had a vague idea about fairy lights which he designed for us and he and his team came and set up for us. I left it entirely to him as we had used his company before and knew we could rely on him. The effects were brilliant - I was soooo pleased! He took down the lighting and took it all away on Sunday morning as promised. We were very impressed with his service, and at a very reasonable cost. "Delighted by the service from James at Basement Hire. Wanted lights and sound for my wife's 60th birthday party in a local Tithe Barn and James sorted us out some brilliant kit and came and set up a splendid arrangement with the minimum of fuss and at a time to suit us. Ditto collection after the party. Very easy to deal with for pre order queries and advice and also kindly collected a mirror ball for us from another supplier. The farmer who owns the barn said it was the best party he'd seen there in the 5 years they'd been operating and this due in no small part to the lights and sound (and of course the partygoers!)."

With a very vague outline of what we were after Chris guided us through the lighting options and managed to help us to exceed the effect we were originally after.
