The Zealand Quartet is an exciting, young group made up of music graduates and postgraduates from Hull University. Formed in 2010, they have played in most venues in Hull and surrounding areas, including Hull City hall, Ferens Art Gallery, Cave Castle in South Cave and Saltmarsh Hall, to name just a few. They have played in masterclasses with the "Ferdinand David" Quartet and Steve Wilkie from RNCM and recently performed at the House of Lords in London.
In August 2016, the Zealand Quartet appeared in the short film ‘everyone back to ours’ celebrating Hull’s year as city of culture. The group perform a wide range of classical and popular and pride themselves on their volume and variety of music, and the skills of their in house arranging team.

Set up: 10 - 15 mins, although we prefer longer in order to warm up in the venue.
Yes, but we will not play outside if there is a single drop of rain or other precipitation. We also require shade if it is sunny and will not play in the cold. The quartet will make the judgment about playing outside and an indoor option should always be available.
Yes, they can select anything from our repotoire. Specific music requests outside of this should be submitted well in advance and may incur additional costs.
