About / Biography

The Vinyl Remnants (formerly The Shaggy Dog Raconteurs) comprise drums/percusssion, double bass, acoustic guitars, mandolin, electric guitars, harmonicas plus harmonies on the vocals. We pride ourselves on our musicianship along with audience engagement and a fun feel to our performances.

We have written a number of our own songs and have grown from a mainly Americana-based set to a broader, more melodic sound with cover versions twisted to our own style.

We also have our own high quality (BOSE) PA system and we can perform in a wide variety of settings due to the flexibility of our kit and capability. For example we can play acoustically along with a cajon, up to a full kit of drums and amps to suit the setting.
