Vintage Strings are a high-quality acoustic duo who masterfully blend classical & contemporary styles with modern rock & pop to create a beautiful and distinctive sound.
Based in Worcestershire, the duo is made up of cellist Rebecca Rose & guitarist / vocalist Colin Stevenson.
Rebecca is an internationally renowned and award-winning cellist. After being awarded scholarships to the venerable Purcell School and Royal College of Music, she has since performed across the world and at revered UK-based venues including Birmingham Symphony Hall and Buxton Opera House. She also has the royal seal of approval having performed solo for then-Prince, now King Charles!
Colin is an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist with over 30 years of live performance experience. A professional and versatile artist, and engaging performer, he is equally at home in intimate ceremonies, lively wedding receptions and on festival main stages.
With a diverse repertoire spanning classical, film music and modern rock & pop, Vintage Strings offer an exceptional & unforgettable musical experience that can be tailored to any setting. We will require a small playing space of around 3 metres x 3 metres (minimum) with plug sockets, and a maximum of 2 parking spaces.
We are a fully self contained acoustic act consisting of cello, acoustic guitar and vocals. We can play fully 'unplugged' with no amplification or through a PA system as required, (we can provide our own PA). Every show is 100% live with no backing tapes or electronic gadgets.

We can play appropriate background music between our sets. Alternatively, if you wish to provide a device with your own playlist we will be more than happy to accomodate you.
We typically take around 30 minutes to set-up and soundcheck and will arrange a suitable arrival and set-up time with yourself prior to the event.
We typically play 2 x 45 minute sets, however we are completely flexible with both the show format and timings and are willing to work with you to play whatever format you require.
