Dubbed "Britain's most mesmerizing harmony duo" by Mel B of the Spice Girls, "Visually and Artistically Beautiful" by Rush, Vintage Sister Harmony can be spotted singing all over the country in their tiny sooty van known to fans as the ‘moonmobile’. Through performances on XFactor, ITV, BBC Introducing, Radio 1, Ministry of Sound & Cafe Nero, singing sisters, ‘Vintage Sister Harmony’ are also working ambassadors for animal rights charities, helping raise thousands of pounds to date for the International Animal Rescue, RSPCA, PDSA, Jerry Green Dog Rescue, Wildlife Trust, and Donkey Trust, ‘Spana’ through their music, which is about to be released through a debut album.
This is the story of two sisters who began singing together as toddlers at National Bluegrass Festivals alongside musical parents - their father performed with Dolly Parton while mother, Kathy wrote the song Kaleidoscopes (which later became the title track of the sisters 2012 EP). After graduating, Laura started singing for Warners Hotels, Thomson Gold, P&O Cruises, Seabourn, Four Seasons Hotels, flying to Cyprus, Portugal, Edinburgh and cruising all over the world. Solo shows on the cruises were heavily inspired by Jazz and Laura was a guest vocalist at the 2011 New Orleans Jazz Festival. Meanwhile, younger sister Mary-Anne was writing for Dutch Producer Marco V with ‘Scenario’ and ‘Emotionless’ reaching the top 10 dance chart on Radio 1 in 2009. Mary-anne also sang backing vocals for a Michael Jackson History Show in South Africa and still tours with Pink Floyd Tributes as a guest vocalist on ‘Great Gig in the Sky’.
Proving a boot camp favourite back in 2012, during their first televised performance as sisters on ITV’s Xfactor, ‘Vintage Sister Harmony’ have not stopped working since, with UK hotels, restaurants, parties, marriage proposals, festivals, corporate functions and even a Government Wedding in Lebanon.
Led by Mary-Anne on acoustic guitar, Laura on piano, and Sam on cajon, a typical 2 hour concert will include stylized versions of Tracey Chapman, Seal, Fleetwood Mac, to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stevie Wonder and Imagine Dragons. Dynamic vocals and weaving harmonies are staple and with over 200 songs to chose from, audiences are not limited in what they can request whilst also having the opportunity to see Live versions of latest singles ‘Snow’ and ‘Midnight in London’.
