Paris born jazz singer Véronique Joly sings a mixture of smooth jazz, swing, funk, latin and soul. From gentle ballads, Bossa Novas and swing classics to upbeat sambas, jazz/funk and soul favourites. Véronique sings in English, French and Portuguese. She is available as a vocals/guitar duo and also offers the option of a trio (with bass or saxophone) plus a 4-6 piece band. She also offers a whole set of French songs or a whole set of Brazilian classics.
Véronique started performing live at the age of 17 and paid her dues on the Paris music scene before moving to London in 1992. She was a featured vocalist for the BBC TV series Rick Stein: French Odyssey and after 10 years of performing in London she is now based in Dorset. Her latest projects include collaboration with master vibes player Roger Beaujolais plus a Getz/Gilberto Bossa Nova project with Canadian saxophonist Terry Quinney.

We need a performance space of 2 meters x 3 meters for our duo. We require 1 x 13 amp power sockets and 1 parking space.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
My best gig was performing Brazilian music with my band at the Bridport Arts Centre, the first gig after lockdown, never had such an attentive and grateful audience!
Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder have always been a great source of inspiration. I'm always happy to sing any song by the iconic Brazilian songwriter A.C. Jobim.
I started singing in original pop bands in France from the age of 17 and now love performing jazz and Brazilian music. I've performed hundreds of gigs from weddings to jazz clubs and corporate events to festivals.
Weddings! I love singing and bringing the music to this joyous occasion.
We normally arrive 1 hour before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area. Plus if the weather is bad we need to be a in TOTALLY waterproof environment.
We can learn a couple of specific songs before the event as long as they suit our format. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
Previous customers would describe us as classy and perfect for giving their event a relaxed and sophisticated mood.
